Palestinian Mothers Engage In Grotesque Prostitution Of Their Children

Countries around the world have taken different approaches towards sexual prostitution. Some believe that the practice exploits women and ban the practice, while other states feel that people should be entitled to bodily freedom and manage personal affairs in a manner of their choosing.

There is one government that stands apart from all the others:

  • That allows parents to profit from their children’s bodies
  • Where the government is the john paying the parents for offering up their children’s bodies
  • Whose children are trained and armed to slaughter innocent people, often resulting in the child’s own death

That heinous government is the Palestinian Authority (PA), which pays a lifetime of rewards to the families of young terrorists who murder Jews.

The PA has a special mercenary prostitution budget for its “Martyrs’ Fund,” now $300 million per year, or 8% of its annual budget. Disgusted by the practice, a bipartisan group of members of Congress asked Secretary of State Antony Blinken for an update on whether the PA will halt the payments in June. In 2018, PA President Mahmoud Abbas said he would spend the “last penny” of its money for the terrorist fund, spitting in the face of basic human dignity. In 2021, Prime Minister Shtayyeh repeated Abbas’ vow.

The United Nations knows full well that Palestinians send their children to kill Jewish civilians but says nothing against the grotesque, illegal and immoral actions, and instead lambasts Israel for killing these young terrorists engaged in attacks.

Meanwhile, the parents of the young terrorists couldn’t be happier with the death of Jews, the glorification of their dead children in Palestinian society and the lifetime of income that the carnage yields. One terrorist mother pimp said after hearing of the death of one of her children, “By Allah, if all my children and grandchildren are martyred for the sake of Allah, it will make me happy.”

Palestinian society is systemically and deeply deformed as evidenced by Arab terrorists’ mothers pimping their children to commit violent jihad, funded by the global sponsors of the Palestinian Authority.

“Deformity in Palestinian Culture” Is A Permanent Feature

James Zogby, President of the Arab American Institute was invited to speak to the United Nations Security Council on June 27, 2023 about the “situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian question”, to make a case against Israel and defend Palestinian Arabs. The UNSC did not invite a comparable person to make the case against the Palestinian Authority and defend Israel, yet another demonstration of the entrenched bias against the Jewish State.

Zogby was given the floor for some time when he said the following:

“Given that traumatic nightmare visited upon millions of Palestinians for the past 56 years, is it any wonder that a recent poll shows a majority of Palestinians rejecting moderate leadership, despairing of peaceful change and now favouring armed struggle? That tragic deformity in Palestinian political culture is the result of the continued brutality of the occupation. It is also important to see the impact the harshness the occupation is having on the Arab world. While polls we conducted four years ago found a large majority in most Arab countries favouring exploring peace with Israel, saying that it might temper Israel’s behaviour and stop the violence, more recent polling suggests the hope has decidedly diminished.”

Zogby lies that Palestinian Arabs have changed their views and rejected moderate leadership and turned to violently fighting Israel in several regards.

“Moderate leadership”

The Palestinian Authority president is Mahmoud Abbas.

  • He wrote his doctoral thesis on Holocaust denial
  • He actively pays and prioritizes the payment of monies to terrorists who kill Israelis
  • He jails Arabs who sell homes to Jews
  • He has demanded a new country to be devoid of Jews
  • He’s viewed as wildly corrupt by Palestinians
  • He’s refused to hold elections, as he knows he would get trounced, so has remained in power since 2005, 18 years on, even though he was elected to a four year term

The Palestinian parliament is controlled by Hamas, with 58% of the seats since 2006.

  • It is a U.S. foreign terrorist organization, and many other countries consider it a terrorist group
  • It has the most antisemitic founding charter of any ever written in the world – including Nazi Germany – blending a mix of the forgery Protocols of the Elders of Zion (from which it quotes) and Adolf Hitler’s Mein Kampf
  • It has fired tens of thousands of rockets into Israel
  • It is committed to the destruction of the Jewish State
  • It is devoted to covering the entire region with Islamic religious law

In what world do the Palestinians have a “moderate leadership?” Palestinians elected and are governed by corrupt, antisemitic, genocidal jihadists.

Palestinians elected and are governed by corrupt, antisemitic, genocidal jihadists.

A Devoted Path of Violence

Palestinians have always preferred violence to peace.

  • Rejected the 1947 U.N. Partition Plan and opted to enlist the surrounding Arab states to destroy Israel
  • Attempted to destroy Israel again in 1967
  • Attempted to destroy Israel again during the holiest day in Judaism, Yom Kippur, in 1973
  • After Israel handed several cities to the Palestinian Authority and tried to make peace as part of the Oslo Accords, Palestinians opted to embark on a multi-year wave of horrific terrorism from 2000 to 2004, which only abated after Israel erected a security barrier and with the death of Yasser Arafat
  • After Israel withdrew from Gaza, Palestinians let the enclave be governed by the political-terrorist group Hamas which has launched repeated wars from the area
  • Gazans have always preferred violence to peace in every poll since 2001 (see chart below), while the sentiment of West Bank Arabs has changed over time.
Data from PCPSR polls shows the majority of Gazans always in favor of killing Jewish civilians inside of Israel, and West Bank Arabs generally moving away from such sentiment from 2008 to 2014 and again from 2017 to 2021.

In 2011, after two Palestinian Arabs slaughtered a family of five Jews while they slept – the parents and children aged 11, 4 and three months – 51.0% of Gazan Arabs said they supported the demonic action.

That does not represent a society “despairing of peaceful change” but of a barbaric cult.

The 2011 Massacre of the Fogel Family in Itamar

It was briefly satisfying to hear a leading Arab voice acknowledge at the United Nations that there is a current “deformity in Palestinian political culture” but unfortunately the toxicity goes well beyond politics and a moment in time.

Raging To Kill Jews: Bowers On Death Row And Tamimi Walking Free

Robert Bowers came to a Pittsburgh synagogue armed with an AR-15 and other weapons to kill as many Jews as possible. After killing 11, he told police that “all these Jews need to die.” This week, he was sentenced to the death penalty for his crimes.

Ahlam al-Tamimi found a restaurant in central Jerusalem bustling with young Jewish families. She dropped off her comrade at the scene who blew up the store, killing 15 people including a pregnant woman and 7 children. Three US nationals were among those injured and killed in the attack. Today, she walks freely in Jordan.

When Tamimi was interviewed about her role on the bombing on Palestinian al Aqsa TV in July 2012 she recounted the events after she left the carnage:

“Afterwards, when I took the bus, the Palestinians around Damascus Gate [in Jerusalem] were all smiling. You could sense that everybody was happy. When I got on the bus, nobody knew that it was me who had led [the suicide bomber to the target]. I was feeling quite strange, because I had left [the bomber] ‘Izz Al-Din behind, but inside the bus, they were all congratulating one another. They didn’t even know one another, yet they were exchanging greetings…While I was sitting on the bus, the driver turned on the radio. But first, let me tell you about the gradual rise in the number of casualties. While I was on the bus and everybody was congratulating one another.”

After hearing an initial report that “three people were killed” in the bombing, Tamimi stated:

“I admit that I was a bit disappointed, because I had hoped for a larger toll. Yet when they said “three dead”, I said: ‘Allah be praised’…Two minutes later, they said on the radio that the number had increased to five. I wanted to hide my smile, but I just couldn’t. Allah be praised, it was great. As the number of dead kept increasing, the passengers were applauding.”

In another interview on Jordanian Ammon News website she said “I do not regret what happened. Absolutely not. This is the path. I dedicated myself to Jihad for the sake of Allah, and Allah granted me success. You know how many casualties there were [in the 2001 attack on the Sbarro pizzeria]. This was made possible by Allah. Do you want me to denounce what I did? That’s out of the question. I would do it again today, and in the same manner.”

With Al Jazeera, Tamimi offered that “from a Palestinian, as well as international law perspective, it is perfectly legitimate to resist the Israeli occupation,” grotesquely twisting the basic notion of ‘resistance’ as the gleeful slaughter of innocent families, a refrain used by many Palestinian Arab extremists.

The Palestinian Authority also seems to agree, praising her on television.

Americans are disgusted.

Yael Lampert, slated to become the United States’ Ambassador to Jordan, said during her May 4, 2023 confirmation hearing (1:08:00) that “I will do everything in my power to ensure that Ahlam al-Tamimi faces justice in the US for her horrific crimes.”

In light of potential upcoming pressure from the United States, it is rumored that “Jordan is planning to transport Ahlam Tamimi either into its border with Egypt or Iraq, where from Tamimi will be secretly escorted to Iran or Qatar. Another source said, a high-powered team of Hamas is coordinating this matter.”

The gleeful thirst for Jewish blood was met with a solemn death penalty verdict in the United States but applause and smiles in the Jordanian-Palestinian Arab community. Which represents your values?

The UN Reminds The World That Palestinian Terrorists And Enablers Are To Be Excused

The scourge of terrorism is still very much present around the world, especially in areas of concentration of Islamist militants.

In Pakistan, rivals have been blowing up crowds at rallies and in mosques. On July 30, at least 63 people were killed and over 130 injured when a suicide bomber set off explosives at a political rally in Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province at a gathering of the conservative Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) party, known for its links to hardline political Islam, in the former tribal area of Bajaur, which borders Afghanistan. ISIS claimed responsibility. Reuters added that “Pakistan has seen a resurgence of attacks by Islamist militants since last year when a ceasefire between the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) [also known as the Pakistani Taliban] and Islamabad broke down. A mosque bombing in Peshawar killed over 100 people earlier this year.”

Relatives and mourners gather around the caskets of victims who were killed in Sunday’s suicide bomber attack in the Bajur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, Monday, July 31, 2023. (photo: Mohammad Sajjad/AP)

The United Nations Security Council quickly condemned the “heinous and cowardly suicide terrorist attack” and “expressed their deepest sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims and to the Government of Pakistan, and they wished a speedy and full recovery to those who were injured.” It continued:

“The members of the Security Council reaffirmed that terrorism in all its forms and manifestations constitutes one of the most serious threats to international peace and security.

“The members of the Security Council underlined the need to hold perpetrators, organizers, financiers and sponsors of these reprehensible acts of terrorism accountable and bring them to justice.  They urged all States, in accordance with their obligations under international law and relevant Security Council resolutions, to cooperate actively with the Government of Pakistan, as well as all other relevant authorities in this regard.

“The members of the Security Council reiterated that any acts of terrorism are criminal and unjustifiable, regardless of their motivation, wherever, whenever and by whomsoever committed.  They reaffirmed the need for all States to combat by all means, in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations and other obligations under international law, including international human rights law, international refugee law and international humanitarian law, threats to international peace and security caused by terrorist acts.”

These three paragraphs sound weighty but are pre-packaged, off-the-shelf statements used repeatedly. The UNSC used it in January 2023 in Pakistan and aired the same in December 2022, September 2022 and March 2018 in Iraq, Afghanistan and Nigeria, respectively.

But not for Israel. When Israel is confronted with Islamist militants slaughtering innocent civilians, the UNSC cannot recall how to “copy-paste.”

In January 2023, the UNSC condemned the slaughter of seven Jews at a synagogue during a session discussing the region but issued no canned statement. The UN Secretary General issued a terse statement which did not suggest that Israel “hold perpetrators, organizers, financiers and sponsors… to justice.” Instead, he expressed the opposite desire because he “is deeply worried about the current escalation of violence in Israel and the occupied Palestinian territory. This is the moment to exercise utmost restraint.

This is an old, despicable story, in which the UN urges the world to fight terrorism while demanding Israel accept terrorism as a penance for existing.

Palestinians Utterly Fail Two Tests: Oslo Accords And Gaza Disengagement

Palestinians have violently opposed Jews living in Israel for a century. The occasional massacres of the 1920s gave way to multi-year pogroms in the late 1930s. When the British announced their intention to leave the region and terminate their mandate, the local Arabs rejected the 1947 United Nations Partition Plan and enlisted neighboring Arab countries to destroy the Jewish State.

The loss of part of the land to Israel was balanced by the capture of Gaza by Egypt and much of Judea and Samaria by Transjordan. The Arab armies assembled to destroy Israel again in 1967 and in 1973 on Judaism’s holiest Day, losing their wars again. On their own, the Stateless Arabs from Palestine (SAPs) continued the mayhem, killing Jewish Olympians, blowing up synagogues and hijacking planes in their persistent effort to eradicate the presence of Jews in the Jewish holy land.

The SAPs seemingly were willing to turn a new page in favor of coexistence with Jews in 1991 with the Madrid Conference which eventually developed into the 1993 Oslo I and 1995 Oslo II Accords. Despite ongoing Arab violence, Israel facilitated the creation of Palestinian governmental institutions and handed over significant sections of the area east of the 1949 Armistice Lines (E49) to Palestinian control. The goal was to finalize all matters by September 2000, at the five year anniversary of the Oslo II signing.

The SAPs chose to return to their violent ways instead of concluding an agreement.

In September 2000, under the command of Yasser Arafat, Arabs committed waves of terrorist attacks, blowing up men, women and children in pizza stores, parks, on buses and in synagogues. The Arab brutality was seemingly without end, and was only curtailed in 2004 when Israel erected a security barrier to stem the flow of Arab killers and the death of Arafat.

In an effort to reengage, Israel handed Gaza to the Palestinians in 2005, with assurances from the United States that it would support Israel’s positions on retaining some land in E49 and that all Palestinian refugees would be settled in a new Palestinian State.

The SAPs would fail to capitalize on this second chance at peace as well.

First, the Palestinians elected the terrorist group Hamas to 58% of the Palestinian parliament in 2006, and then had the political-terrorist group take over all of Gaza in 2007. The Palestinians used Gaza as a launching ground for missiles in the air and tunnels below ground to attack Israelis. Full blown battles from Gaza erupted in 2008, 2012 and 2014.

Rather than Gaza proving a model for coexistence of two states living side-by-side in peace, it showed that Palestinians will never accept the presence of Jews nor existence of a Jewish State.

There is an old adage “fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me” meant to convey that it’s not nice of the perpetrator to take advantage of someone one time, but by the second time, the fault lies with the victim who should have known better than to reengage.

There is no line for “fool me three times”, as no rational actor acting on free will would ever consider such preposterous notion.

Which is precisely why the anti-Israel community is calling for BDS resolutions against Israel and electing anti-Israel candidates like Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY), to force Israel to reengage yet again with Palestinians who have repeatedly shown they have no interest in coexistence.

Alt-Left anti-Israel members of Congress, Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar and Jamaal Bowman

“Fool me once or twice is a matter between parties; fool me thrice is a hostage situation” in which the victim is compelled to undermine their own well-being. Such is the situation today among those pressuring Israel to advance a DOA peace process.

Coercion is the polar opposite of freedom, and it is gaining strength while oblivious Israelis ponder how much power to leave in judiciary’s hands. Israel’s internal debate about democracy is shrouding the potential loss of freedom from external actors.

Letter To Rep. Bowman About Palestinians’ Lack of Support For Two States

Rep. Jamaal Bowman,

You decided to boycott liberal Israeli President Isaac Herzog’s speech to a joint session of congress, and tweeted about the need for a “true two-state solution” in the Middle East:

A true two-state solution is the pathway towards peace and security for all in the region. It’s way past time that we stop using a two state solution as a talking point and actually get it done.

You ignore the fact that Palestinians do not want a two state solution, do not support the Palestinian Authority, want to wage a violent jihad against Israel, and support terrorist groups. According to the latest June 2023 poll by the Palestinian Center of Policy and Survey Research (PCPSR):

  • Only 28% of Palestinians support a two state solution; opposition stands at 70%
  • 53% support a return to an armed intifada
  • 71% support the establishment of new armed groups such as Lion’s Den and Jenin Brigades
  • 58% believe that armed groups will spread to the rest of the West Bank
  • 86% say the Palestinian Authority (PA) does not have the right to arrest members of these armed groups
  • 63% say the PA is a burden on the Palestinian people
  • Satisfaction with President Abbas stands at 17% and 80% want him to resign
  • In theoretical elections between Fatah’s President Abbas and the political-terrorist group Hamas’s Ismail Haniyeh, Haniyeh wins 56% to Abbas 33%
  • 57% of Palestinian support armed attacks against Jewish civilians inside Israel
  • 66% of Palestinians believe Israel will cease to exist in the next 25 years, and 51% believe that Arabs will be able to recover the entire land

That is the current reality.

Three of the ten Palestinian Arab terrorists recently killed in Jenin were under 18 years old and members of terrorist groups, a heinous war crime of indoctrinating and drafting children for terror. That is the dreadful reality.

The President of the PA wrote his doctoral thesis on Holocaust denial, and openly rewards terrorists with money. An astounding 58% of the current Palestinian parliament is from Hamas, a United States designated foreign terrorist organization. That’s the frightening reality.

PA President Abbas’s four-year term ran out in January 2009. He has no support from Palestinians. He doesn’t even control Gaza. There is no counterparty for Israel to negotiate with who can deliver on peace and stand up a new country. That’s the plain reality.

The majority of Palestinians are planning for, and looking forward to, the destruction of Israel. They are not interested in coexistence, peace talks or negotiations. That is the raw reality.

Punishing Israel for Arab extremism is blinding oneself to the unvarnished reality of Palestinian sentiments, and inviting jihadi violence on an enormous scale. Boycotting Israel and its leadership feeds the genocidal aspirations of radical Islamists and destroys the possibility of an enduring peace.

Disappointingly,

A realist

CNN Willfully Whitewashes Palestinians Thirst For Jewish Blood

CNN posted an article called “Palestinian leader calls on world to ‘protect us,’ and his people respond with bitter laughter,” which highlighted how much the Palestinian Arab street dislikes its acting President Mahmoud Abbas. It cited various media posts that mocked the old man and his visit to the UNRWA camp in Jenin which housed Arab terrorists killed by the Israel Defense Forces.

The article continued that Palestinian people had “frustrations and aspirations” that were not met by the unpopular leader, and referenced a poll conducted by PCPSR in September 2022 that showed how dissatisfied people were with his leadership.

There have been three polls since that time, so it is unclear why CNN chose to highlight the one from September 2022. In that poll, Palestinian support for another intifada was at 48% (Q46_5), 56% favored NOT engaging in peace talks under international sponsorship (Q55) and 45% supported killing Jewish civilians inside Israel (Q65). The June 2023 poll showed an even greater desire for violence, with 53% supporting an intifada (Q38_5) and 57% support violence against Israeli Jews (Q70).

CNN wrote an article that made Palestinian Arabs “aspirations” seem peaceful and “frustrated” by an inept leader who has not advanced their appeal for sovereignty. The reality is that Arabs’ aspiration is for a land free of Jews and their embrace of violent jihad to achieve such aims.

Using Terrorism For Fundraising, And Fundraising For Terrorism

Israel successfully eliminated several terrorists in the United Nations-administered zone in Jenin and confiscated many weapons. Rather than consider why the UN harbors so many terrorists, the global body used the opportunity to fundraise.

Under the banner of “Jenin Emergency”, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) ran a series of advertisements appealing for funds for the “Jenin Palestine Refugee Camp.” It inverted reality and made the terrorist enclave the victim of Israeli aggression, rather than self-reflect as to why the UN is the mother hen of a terrorist training facility.

Other charities jumped into the circus and started spending money on promoting this false narrative to collect monies for their coffers, even a peaceful sounding group like “Save the Children.”

The “DONATE” and “DONATE NOW” buttons flooded the screens with appeals for “humanitarian aid” for the “suffering and hardship that the children in the Jenin refugee camp are enduring.” The sites relayed stories of an assault of the “Israel Armed Forces” on residents of Jenin. Nowhere was there a discussion of the Arab killers who live in their midst and the overwhelming support that the terrorists receive from their neighbors.

Today, 57% of Palestinians support terrorist attacks against Jewish civilians inside of Israel.

The Palestinians have already started their “intifada” and have gone on the offensive asking for donations to fund their terrorism against Jews. While the poorly named “Second Intifada” witnessed Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Iran being the main sponsors of the murderers, today, anti-Israel charities are asking the rest of the world to underwrite the spilling of Jewish blood.

The World Ignores Peaceful Dying Refugees And Obsesses Over Murdering Synthetic Refugees

53 migrants die in the sweltering heat in the back of a truck in San Antonio.

Between 79 and 600 refugees drown when their boat sunk off Greece.

Boat packed with as many as 750 fleeing migrants capsizes off Greece in June 2023

Since 2014, the United Nations International Organization of Migrants estimates that 56,912 migrants and refugees are dead or missing. This year is set to be perhaps the deadliest on record, as thousands of people flee their homes due to war or poverty.

The United Nations and media spend a scant moment mourning these poor souls. Men, women and children who reluctantly ran to far-away lands in pursuit of peace were quickly forgotten. No actions are taken to prevent the frequent tragedies.

The United Nations has other priorities:

  • For synthetic “refugees” over real refugees; and
  • For people who seek to murder over defenseless souls

The UN has dressed up Palestinian Arabs who have been living in the same land for generations, as a special class of “UNRWA Refugees”. It pardons their jihadi violence against Israeli Jews as a matter of routine and concocted resolutions.

The media closes its eyes and minds to the facts that Palestinian Arabs are not refugees who do not deserve a special UN agency accompanied by a promise of invading a UN member state. Politicians suspend belief that they favor a two state solution while simultaneously advocating that the Jewish State shouldn’t be Jewish and forced to take in millions of Arabs from a few miles away.

The UN held a week-long conference on counterterrorism in June, and subsequently informed Israel that only the rest of the world can combat the global scourge. Israel must accept jihadi violence as penance for its existence.

The UN Security Council is now scheduled to meet to invert reality in discussing Israel’s successful raid to eliminate terrorists in Jenin but will not convene to dismantle UNRWA camps in Gaza and the West Bank which serve as the incubators for Muslim extremists.

The UNSC will certainly not meet the Special Rapporteur on human rights and migrants whose task it is to help millions of actual refugees, as that privilege is reserved for the Special Rapporteur for the Middle East Peace Process (really the UN Coordinator for Palestinian Appeals), who has regularly scheduled meetings to berate Israel.

It is terribly sad that politicians, the United Nations and media do not attend to peaceful people in actual dire need. It is a horrific state of reality, that the world supports jihadi extremists living next to Israel in their quest to kill Jews and the only Jewish State.

Once again Israel is being forced to combat terrorists who have committed and plan to commit murderous attacks on civilians. Once more, the locus for the attacks is coming from United Nations’ “refugee” camps. Once again, the majority of the terrorists are Arabs whom the UN has told have rights to move into grandparents’ homes in Israel.

UNRWA Wards By The Numbers

For the year ending December 2021, according to UNRWA, there were 6,539,844 Palestinian wards who accept services from the agency, of which 5,807,653 (89%) were “refugees” and another 732,191 (11%) were other people whom the UN thought deserved particular support. Of the 6.5m, 863,708 (13.2%) are above age 60, suggesting perhaps only 2.6% of the total, or 175,000 are actual refugees from 1948 who lost homes a few miles away in Israel, after they launched a war to destroy the Jewish state.

The total number of UNRWA Refugees jumped by about 2.5% by year end 2022 to 6.7 million, while the number of actual refugees continues to decline. The total for West Bank wards was around 1.12 million (16.7%) and in Gaza it was 1.76 million (26.3%), which means that around 43% of all UNRWA wards already live in the area of 1948 Palestine, just a few miles from where ancestors had lived.

The majority of UNRWA wards live in Jordan, about 2.55 million (38% of the total wards), and have Jordanian citizenship. Jordan had been part of the original Palestine Mandate in 1922, and then attacked Israel in 1948 and illegally annexed the eastern portion of Israel which became known as the “West Bank” in 1950. After expelling all Jews from the region, Jordan granted all non-Jews in the area citizenship in 1954. Jordan abandoned its claim on the “West Bank” in 1988, and began pulling its citizenship from Arabs in the region.

The balance of UNRWA wards live in Lebanon (557,300) and Syria (674,500).

UNRWA Camps in the West Bank

Roughly 25% of UNRWA’s West Bank wards live in official UNRWA “camps”. There are 19 camps currently including:

The Jenin Camp was established in 1953 and houses about 23,000 people at the western end of Jenin in the northern West Bank. It encompasses about 0.42 km which yields a population density of roughly 33,333 per sq km. For comparison, Manhattan’s population density is about 28,000 per sq km.

UNRWA’s Jenin Terrorists

UNRWA’s camp in Jenin has long served as the launching point for terrorists as well as a safe haven for murderers.

2002 Massacre

On March 27, 2002, roughly 250 people sat down for a festive holiday seder meal for Passover in the Park Hotel in Netanya along the Mediterranean Sea. A 25-year old member of Hamas from the nearby West Bank city of Tulkarm walked into the hotel and blew himself up, killing 30 and injuring 140. Hamas praised the attack and said Israelis “have to expect those attacks from everywhere, from every Palestinian group.” The Palestinian Authority named a soccer tournament after the terrorist the next year.

In response to the attack, part of a wave of Palestinian terrorism that killed 135 Israeli civilians in that month, Israel launched Operation Defensive Shield a few days later. From April 1-11, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) entered the Jenin Camp which was home base of many of the killers. Rather than bomb the area from the air which might have resulted in the injury of Arab civilians, the IDF deployed infantry into the narrow streets. Palestinian militants set boobytraps which killed and maimed over a dozens soldiers, so the IDF brought in armored bulldozers to clear them out. The militants surrendered on April 11 and the IDF cleared out of the area the following week, but not before losing 23 soldiers.

Center of Jenin Camp in April 2002, cleared of wanted militants, land mines and boobytraps

June and July, 2023 IDF Incursions for Jenin Camp Terrorists

The Jenin Camp has long been a stronghold of the political-terrorist group Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad. In September 2021, a new group called the Jenin Brigades was formed, soon accompanied by the Lion’s Den. The terrorists groups committed in excess of 50 attacks against Israeli civilians and soldiers, many attacks staged under the umbrella of UNRWA.

On June 19, the IDF came to arrest two UNRWA ward terrorists. As the Jenin Brigades open fire on the IDF, the Israelis responded with live fire. Eight Palestinian gunmen were killed, most of them confirmed terrorists. UNRWA confirmed that the majority were wards under its care.

As the IDF left the camp, the terrorists detonated a roadside bomb under an Israeli armored vehicle, wounding eight soldiers. Israel deployed a gunship helicopter to help rescue the soldiers from the hornet’s nest.

After yet additional terrorist attacks on Israeli civilians, Israel launched another incursion into the camp on July 3rd. The 48 hour operation once again focused on a small section of the UNRWA camp, where the IDF removed Palestinian terrorists, weapons and weapon-making factories.

UNRWA Ward Terrorists

The high percentage of UNRWA wards who are terrorists goes to the heart of the conflict: it is not about “occupation” or lack of sovereignty, as these people are in Palestine and under Palestinian rule. These terrorists have been told by the United Nations that they are entitled to move into homes where grandparents used to live inside of Israel. They are frustrated by the failure to get their “right of return” which the global body has promised.

Entrance to UNRWA refugee camp as a keyhole with a key on top, demonstrating that the pathway to homes inside Israel is via UNRWA.

The United Nations has incubated a destructive cult mentality which is leading to terrorism and death. It is well past time to shut UNRWA, and the first camps to be shuttered are those under Palestinian rule, the launching pads in Gaza and the West Bank.
