HAMAS Is Palestinian. The Popular Palestinian Political-Terrorist Party

The heinous massacre of Israeli Jews by the Palestinian political-terrorist group HAMAS meets every definition of a crime against humanity. The whitewashing of the evil source should therefore be considered a grave offense to be fought aggressively.

Consider U.S. President Biden’s remarks “on the Terrorist Attacks in Israel.

He flagged the “terrorist organization, Hamas” and called out terrorists a total of nine times and Hamas five times. He made it clear that the United States views the organization and its actions as evil with such declarations.

However, Biden misdirected the vitriol by constricting his language away from clearly labeling the group as the highly popular political party of Palestinian Arabs.

Worse, he made Palestinian Arabs appear as peace partners to stop the violence, saying “I’ve also directed my team to remain in constant contact with leaders throughout the region, including Egypt, Turkey, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Oman, the UAE, as well as with our European partners and the Palestinian Authority.

CNN has done much the same calling out “Hamas fighters” and “Hamas militants” but disassociating the terrorist group with Palestinian Arabs. Instead, it limits the use of “Palestinians” to describe death tolls of local Arabs.

The New York Times echoes much of the narrative that Hamas is an “Iran-backed militant group that controls the Gaza Strip,” stripping the group of its Palestinian roots and nature and dressing it as a foreign implant.

This is toxic misinformation.

Hamas is the majority political party in Palestinian parliament, with 74 of the 132 seats, or 58 per cent of the total. According to a September 2023 Palestinian poll, “If new presidential elections were held today and only two candidates, Mahmoud Abbas [of Fatah] and Ismail Haniyeh [of Hamas], the voter turnout would be only 42%, and among those who would participate, Abbas would receive 37% of the vote and Haniyeh 58%,” showing the continued strength and popularity of the political-terrorist group.

The majority of Palestinians voted Hamas into power with the most antisemitic charter ever written, and a majority of Palestinian Arabs support the killing of Jews inside of Israel according to polls, just as Hamas has carried out.

Palestinian Arabs are engaged in a war to eradicate Jews from their homeland, and launched an attack on a Jewish religious holiday with a grisly crime against humanity. Efforts to recharacterize the war as stemming from a foreign-backed militant groups grossly paints Palestinian Arabs as twice-over victims – of Iranian-backed Hamas and of Israel – instead of squarely placing the root of evil on the local Arabs themselves.

The grisly crimes against humanity being waged by Palestinian Arabs against Jews must be fought militarily, financially, morally and with clarity. Hamas is the popular Palestinian political-terrorist party, not a foreign implant. Palestinian Arabs are responsible for the atrocities.

Waiting For Bad News

Waiting For Bad News

Social media sites like Facebook have enabled features for people to post whether they are safe when a particular crisis hits. It is meant as a quick tool to alert friends and families in real-time that one has escaped tragedy.

When war strikes Israel – especially on a holiday – Jews around the world await the pain of loss.

The popular Palestinian Arab political-terrorist group Hamas launched a massive attack against Israel while Jews celebrated the end of their holidays celebrating the Torah. This year, the two-day religious observance of Shemini Azeret/ Simchat Torah in the diaspora outside of Israel, coincided with the 50th anniversary of the 1973 Yom Kippur War. Hamas deployed thousands of missiles and militants into Israel to mark the day in a new war.

As horrible news leaked into synagogues about the war in Israel over the holiday, many Orthodox Jews had to wait until Sunday night to learn about the status of friends and family inside the Jewish holy land, as they do not use any electronic devices over the holiday.

A friend’s son serving in the army killed.

A friend’s cousin taken hostage.

A friend’s best friend killed.

A friend’s child’s roommate killed.

Each frantic call and review of social media was one of trauma.

There are few Jews in the world. While there are 8 billion people who are at most six degrees of separation from any other person, the 15 million Jews are at most two degrees of separation for one another. When hundreds of Jews are murdered, everyone is touched. Everyone mourns.

The Hamas website, which operated openly for years proclaiming its war against the Jewish State, was blocked as it posted videos of its grisly operation killing and kidnapping civilians. Its effort to let Jews know that they are never safe was viewed as too cruel to be given air at this time.

But information slowly dribbles in. And it continues to be horrific.

In addition to the over 700 dead are over 100 who have been taken captive, spread throughout the terrorist enclave of Gaza. Children as young as three. Wheelchair-bound Holocaust survivors.

The scale of the loss of life is difficult to comprehend. The number of hostages taken means that the current dangerous situation will be present for a long time.

There is no hashtag for Jews to mark themselves safe, nor an emoji to relay the deep pain at the loss of life and trauma felt for friends trapped at the center of evil.

As Jews around the world wait for bad news, they assess the actions each can take to seize the day from the implacable foe.

The UN Continues To Grossly Minimize Palestinian Terror

Tor Wennesland, the Arab puppet who works under the title United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, gave his highly biased remarks to the UN Security Council on September 27. It showcased his protection of the increasingly dangerous Palestinian terrorist society.

During the reporting period June 15 to September 19, Palestinian Arabs in the “West Bank” killed ten Israelis, while Israeli “settlers” in the region killed two Palestinians. The whopping FIVE TIMES more murders by Arabs did not seem to register, as Wennesland voiced “I am disturbed by the high levels of settler-related violence,” but never specifically called out the more frequent and lethal Arab violence.

As alarming, for the seventh time this year, Palestinians in the West Bank launched rockets at Israelis, with the latest one towards the Israeli town of Ram On located near the 1949 Armistice Lines. Wennesland grossly minimized the attack saying Palestinians “attempted and failed to launch an improvised rocket”, making the grotesque attempt at mass murder sound like a harmless childish prank.

The rocket attacks were launched by yet another new Palestinian terror group called al-Ayyash, joining the Lion’s Den and Jenin Battalion which formed over the past two years. The number of guns and advanced weaponry now being deployed by the various terrorist groups is making 2023 the most deadly year for Israelis in several years.

Still, the UN did not condemn Palestinian actions nor call for a crack down on incitement and terror. Instead, it asked countries for donations to send to these same Palestinians, and urged for evictions of all Jewish civilians from their homes in the West Bank.

It’s working.

Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the US ambassador to the United Nations, said “the sharp rise in violence by extremist Israeli settlers against Palestinians is also deeply alarming,” but didn’t similarly call out the greater number of Palestinian Arab murderers. She then added that the United States supports the antisemitic policies and desires of the Palestinian Authority to ban Jews from living in the “West Bank” and from praying at their holiest location on the Jewish Temple Mount. For good measure, she added that the U.S. is “pleased to announce nearly $73 million in additional contributions to UNRWA.”

If the UN’s vision of a peace process absolves Arabs of crimes against humanity while endorsing the ethnic cleansing of half a million Jews from their biblical homeland, the entire global body is clearly morally defective. It should be stripped of all funding and shuttered outright, not just its specialized projects for Palestinians.

Abbas Pays Tribute To Murderers Of Jews Before The United Nations General Assembly, To Applause

The Holocaust-denying Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas took center stage at the United Nations General Assembly on September 21, 2023. As in years past, he stood by the “martyrs” who kill Israeli Jews.

I pay tribute to our righteous martyrs, our brave prisoners, and our heroic injured people

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas before the UNGA September 21, 2023

Who are these “righteous martyrs” that Abbas extolls?

Mohammad Nasser Tra’ayra, 17. Mohammad broke into the home of Israeli-American Hallel Yaffa Ariel, aged 13, and stabbed her to death while she slept. The popular political-terrorist Hamas which controls 58% of the Palestinian parliament, praised the murder of the Jewish youth, calling it “heroic.” Mohammed had posted on Facebook before the attack that he wanted to become a “martyr.” His mother praised her son as a martyr for Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and encouraged others to follow in his footsteps. His uncle, Rajeh Tarayreh, told The Associated Press that the family was hosting a celebration that’s a tradition for every “martyr” killed by Israel — including accepting visitors offering congratulations. Mohammed’s family now gets a $350 a month stipend as payment for his matrydom.

I salute our glorious martyrs and our courageous prisoners in Israeli jails.

Hassan Qatanani, 35. Hassan and his partner in crime, Muaath Masri, shot up a car carrying some British-Israeli women and killed them: Lucy Dee, 48, and two of her daughters Maia Dee (20) and Rina Dee (15). The Israeli Defense Forces subsequently tracked Hassan and his evil band and killed them in a firefight. Hassan’s mother spoke on Palestinian TV and said “He loved martyrdom. He would say to me, day and night, ‘Mom, I want to be martyred.’ He would kiss my hand and say: ‘Pray to Allah that I will be martyred‘… Praise be to Allah for granting him what he wanted… [We] cannot accept what the Jews did to us. We should fight them with our children, with our money, with our families, with our fingernails. We should devour the Jews with our teeth… The Jews are our enemy from beginning to end.” Thousands of Palestinians took part in the funeral of the three murderers.

I salute our martyrs, prisoners and wounded.

Diaa Hamarsheh, 26. Diaa went into Bnei Brak armed with an M-16 assault rifle and shot and killed five people. The Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, part of PA President Abbas’s political party, Fatah, claimed responsibility. His aunt said “We are sad that he is gone and not with us anymore, but at the same time, we are happy that he is a martyr. What he did is not something that anyone is capable of doing. Not everyone possesses this kind of courage.” The Quds News Network posted on its Facebook page about “Palestinian martyr Diaa Hamarsheh.”

All glory to the righteous martyrs of the Palestinian people who enlightened the path of freedom and independence with their pure blood.

Nasser Abu Hmeid. In 2002, Nasser, the right-hand man to arch-terrorist Marwan Barghouti, was convicted of murdering seven Israelis — Eliyahu Cohen, Binyamin and Talia Kahane, Gad Rejwan, Yosef Habi, Eli Dahan and Salim Barakat — in a number of terror attacks during the Second Intifada that he either personally carried out or directed from afar. He was also convicted of 12 counts of attempted murder and a number of other security-related charges. He had also previously been found guilty of murdering five Palestinians who collaborated with Israel in 1990 but was released a few years later as part of the Oslo Accords. PA President Abbas glorified Nasser at the United Nations in 2022 saying that they teach Palestinian children that “the heroic prisoner Nasser Abu Hmaid and his companions that dawn is coming, and it is time for their chains to be broken. Greetings from me and our entire people to all our heroic martyrs and families. I salute from this podium Nasser’s mother, the mother of prisoners and martyrs.”

If we had a single penny left, we would spend it on the families of the martyrs and the prisoners, and only then on the rest of the people…. We consider the martyrs and the prisoners to be stars in the sky of the Palestinian people and struggle. They have top priority in everything.

PA President Abbas in Ramallah on July 23, 2018

Khalil Jabarin, 17. Khalil stabbed and killed Israeli-American Ari Fuld who was talking on his phone outside of a store. PA Prisoner Affairs’ Commission spokesman Hassan Abd Rabbo confirmed that the Jabarin family was “eligible to receive a monthly salary of $390” under the PA’s Pay-to-Slay scheme. On September 18, 2023, a lawyer for the Fuld family said that “the Palestinian Authority doubled the monthly salary it pays the terrorist murderer of Ari Fuld, [of blessed memory], from $522 to $1,044.”

A few months earlier, on July 18, 2023, fifty members of the U.S. Congress signed a bi-partisan letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken to push the Palestinian Authority to stop paying terrorists a bounty for killing Israeli Jews. The letter noted that “For some Palestinians, terrorism literally pays. As you know, the Palestinian Authority has for decades provided financial compensation and other benefits to families of terrorists jailed in Israeli prisons and “martyrs” killed while carrying out attacks against Israelis. These payments cost the PA more than $300 million annually, at 8% of its budget.”

PA will not stop the transfer of funds…. President Abbas made it clear that the Palestinian Authority will not stop funding the families of our martyrs, even if we are down to the last penny.

Jenin Governor Akram Rajoub January 19, 2023

Arafat Irafaiya, 29. Arafat raped and killed Ori Ansbacher, 19, in the Ein Yael forest in the outskirts of Jerusalem. He said “I entered Israel with a knife because I wanted to become a martyr and murder a Jew, I met the girl by chance.”

Ori Ansbacher, 19, killed by a Palestinian man who wanted to become a “martyr” by killing a Jew

Every drop of blood spilled in Jerusalem is pure, every martyr will reach paradise, and every injured person will be rewarded by God.

PA President Abbas September 17, 2015

Bashar Masalha, 22. Bashar went on a stabbing spree against tourists walking near the beach at the Jaffa port, killing American Taylor Force who was on vacation. Official Palestinian Authority TV called him a “martyr” eleven times during his funeral. A reporter explained that his funeral was a “large national wedding befitting of Martyrs.”

these terrorists are not, in fact, lone rangers, they are not lone wolves acting from their independent hatred. Instead, these terrorists are the product of the programming done by the PA’s perverted culture that glorifies the willingness to die or to spend time in prison in pursuit of killing or maiming Israelis. The PA programmed this hate. These financial rewards are the main way they accomplish this.

U.S. House of Representatives Hearing on FINANCIALLY REWARDING TERRORISM IN THE WEST BANK, July 6, 2016

Palestinian Arabs are at the vanguard of antisemitism and terrorism against Jews, so programmed and prodded by their leadership. These same evil leaders are then afforded the global stage to ask the world to join them in their mission.

The only question is whether it’s the Palestinians or the United Nations which is more morally corrupt.

Palestinian Arabs Are Fighting For All of Israel, Not A New State In West Bank and Gaza

The latest quarterly Palestinian poll came out on September 13, 2023, which repeated commonly heard Palestinian attitudes about their disgust with their leadership and wanting to kill Jews. A deeper look at the trends related to an open-ended question reveals a disturbing reality.

When asked about the most important issue for Palestinians to address, the goal of “ending the occupation and establishing a new Palestinian state” was always the number one choice. The second most important issue has consistently been getting the “right of return” to move into towns in Israel.

A look at the trendline since 2011 shows a significant erosion of those seeking to form a new Palestinian State. In September 2011, 59% of Palestinian Arabs said that ending Israeli rule in the “West Bank” and Gaza was the top priority with only 24% considering a right of return to Israel as the main goal. That 35% gap shrunk by nearly half to 18% by September 2015 and by nearly half again in September 2018 when there was a 10% difference. Now the gap stands at a mere 7%.

The decline is virtually completely from a drop in enthusiasm for a new Palestinian State. The desire for a “right to return” to Israel has stayed virtually constant.

Not surprisingly based on the above, the opposition to a two state solution now stands at 67%.Opposition reached these elevated levels in early 2021, after a more modest opposition of 26% of Gazans and 40% of West Bank Arabs in December 2020.

It should not come as a surprise that Palestinians have come to oppose this Palestinian State. They view the leadership as terribly corrupt, with 78% wanting Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to reign. The man has refused to hold elections and will soon start the 19th year of his four year-term.

This latest poll also asked about the Oslo Accords, now reaching its 30th anniversary. Today, 68% of Palestinian think Oslo harmed Palestinian interests and 71% think it was a mistake to sign them. A majority of 63% wants the PA to now abandon the accords completely.

These various responses reflect a new reality: Palestinians are done pursuing a peace agreement with Israel in search of a new corrupt Palestinian State. They have begun to prioritize the goal of moving to Israel, and taking over the Jewish State. It’s why Palestinian leaders are no longer shy condemning the ‘Judaization’ of Israel itself, and not just Jerusalem. They have called the entirety of the Jewish State a “painful settlement” in what they perceive of as purely “Arab land.”

The spike in Palestinian Arab violence since the beginning of 2021 is no longer about “resisting the occupation” and establishing an Arab State in the West Bank and Gaza. Palestinians are launching a war for Israel itself, as it considers the Nakba a living reality and not a moment in history in 1948. They have convinced themselves that Israel will soon cease to exist, and have set their sites on the bigger prize – from the river to the sea.

“Two States For Two People” And An Arab “Right Of Return” Are Mutually Exclusive

Different formulas for striking a resolution to the Arab-Israeli Conflict have been advanced for decades. One sticking point seems banal on its surface, with ambiguous language which whitewashes the implausibility of implementation.

“A” Two State Solution Versus “The” Two State Solution

The United States has called for “A” two state solution, which is “two states for two peoples,” as President Biden has often said. One country is the Jewish State of Israel and the other country will become an Arab State of Palestine.

This is very different from the similarly named Arab-preferred “The” two state solution, which is the Arab Peace Initiative of 2002. That plan calls for an Arab State of Palestine and a bi-national state of Israel. That is not a formula for “two states for two people” but “one purely Arab state of Palestine and one state where Jews are allowed to live in Israel.”

The Arab two state plan calls for a “Right of Return” of 14 million Arabs who have some roots in Palestine to enter either Israel or Palestine, depending where ancestors had lived. Israel now has roughly 7.2 million Jews, so the clear goal is to end Jewish sovereignty in their homeland.

The difference is stark and both Republicans and Democrats in the United States fully understand the nature of the Arab claim for a “right of return” to end the Jewish state.

In a April 14, 2004 letter from U.S. President George W. Bush to Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, Bush wrote “It seems clear that an agreed, just, fair, and realistic framework for a solution to the Palestinian refugee issue as part of any final status agreement will need to be found through the establishment of a Palestinian state, and the settling of Palestinian refugees there, rather than in Israel.”

The Democrats had an almost identical clause in its platform (until President Barak Obama removed it) which stated “the creation of a Palestinian state through final status negotiations, together with an international compensation mechanism, should resolve the issue of Palestinian refugees by allowing them to settle there, rather than in Israel.“

A return for refugees would end Israel’s existence as a Jewish state.

BDS Leader, Omar Barghouti

The principle of “Two states for two people” and an Arab “Right of return” are mutually exclusive, and must be stated clearly by those pretending to advance an end to the conflict.

PA President Mahmoud Abbas Wishes Jews Happy New Year, Not

It has been a long-standing tradition of Israeli Prime Ministers to wish warm holiday blessings to Christians and Muslims in the Jewish State and around the world.

In 2018, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said “I would like to wish the Muslim and Druze an ‘Eid al-Adha mubarak.’ I’m proud for the fact that in Israel we have freedom of worship for all: Muslims, Druze, Christians, Baha’is, Jews — everyone. And I would like to wish you and your families a happy holiday. Bless you.”

In 2017 Netanyahu said “I wish #Ramadan Kareem to Israel’s Muslim citizens and Muslims around the world, hoping for much needed brotherhood, mutual respect & peace.”

In 2023, Israeli President Isaac Herzog reached out to Muslim leaders ahead of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, extending his wishes for “peace, happiness and health.”

In 2021, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said “I want to wish all Christians in Israel and across the world a Merry Christmas.”

Every year in the Jewish State, the heads of government – whoever is in power – reach out to people of other faiths to offer words of peace, respect and happiness.

This never happens for the Palestinian Arab leadership. The Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas is too busy with antisemitic tirades – and then defending himself as not really an antisemite – to utter any words of blessing to the Jewish people as they celebrate their holidays. He prefers to use his pulpit to inform Jews that they are fake Jews with fake history and heritage, who have no roots in the holy land and are deeply racist.

It’s not too late. Someone, please wake up the corrupt and unpopular leader and tell him to stand before the microphone and wish Jews in the holy land and all around the world a peaceful and happy new year. As of now, Jews in Jerusalem are placing armed guards in their sanctuaries, as they await the fruit from Palestinian leadership incitement to arrive at their doorsteps.

Blinken Preps Netanyahu And Abbas For UN

The United Nations General Assembly is getting ready to welcome foreign leaders this month. In advance of the New York gathering, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority President(-for Life) Mahmoud Abbas yesterday.

Blinken’s call to Netanyahu revolved around four principle elements: working together on “bilateral partnerships”; commitment to Israel’s security including dealing with Iran; integration into the region; and advancing a productive future with Palestinians. The call to Abbas focused on: “ongoing violence” in the region; quality of life for Palestinians; and a commitment for a “two-state solution.”

To Israel, Blinken mentioned a peaceful coexistence with Palestinians but he didn’t even mention the word “Israel” to the PA leader as he focused only Palestinians’ desire for a good quality of life. In addressing the Israeli leader, Blinken mentioned America’s commitment to Israel’s security but to the Palestinians, the Secretary of State simply mentioned concern about the violence without addressing who was committing and instigating the attacks and the U.S.’s determination to stand opposed to terror.

The official Palestinian news agency, Wafa covered the Blinken call and discussed what Abbas discussed on the call:

“President Mahmoud Abbas stressed, during the call, that what the Israeli occupation authorities and their forces and settlers who practice terrorism are doing contributes to undermining the two-state solution and destroys all chances of achieving peace, calling on the US administration to accept the State of Palestine’s endeavor to obtain full membership in the UN by a Security Council decision, and to end all sanctions imposed on the Palestinians due to US laws, and build normal relations between the US administration and the State of Palestine, including reopening the US consulate in Jerusalem and an office for Palestine in Washington, and restoring the direct aid program.

“On the other hand, President Abbas stressed the need to oblige the Israeli occupation authorities to stop all their aggressive practices and unilateral Israeli actions, adhere to the signed agreements, and focus on the political horizon.

“President Abbas stressed that the State of Palestine will continue its efforts at the UN level in order to obtain full membership in the UN, and implement the resolutions of international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative, by ending the Israeli occupation of the State of Palestine, with its capital, East Jerusalem, on the 1967 borders.”

While Abbas ranted about Israeli “terrorism’, Blinken seemingly opted to not mention the U.S.’s commitment to Israel’s security, and didn’t even mention “Israel” on the official call notes. Abbas told Blinken that he wanted Palestine to have full UN membership and the opening of political offices for the PA in the U.S., and Blinken avoided the topic and focused on Palestinians rather than the PA.

It is safe to assume that the United Nations General Assembly will continue to be a spectacle of disappointment as a parade of dictators and anti-Semites are given a global platform. Any real peace may be achieved in bilateral meetings held in restaurants and apartments away from the microphones.

The failure to resolve the Israeli-Arab conflict is because the local Arabs refuse to accept the presence of Jews and believe that the Jewish State will eventually disappear. With such orientation, there is virtually no Palestinian interest in peace talks, and popular support is around “resistance” by “any means necessary” to rid the land of Jews.

Meaning, to kill them, or enough of them to make the rest scared enough to leave.

For those interested in resolving the conflict, Palestinian society must be instilled with basic truths:

  • Jews are indigenous to the holy land
  • Two Jewish Temples stood in Jerusalem on the Temple Mount
  • The land of Israel is, and always has been, central to Judaism
  • Jews are not going to leave; this is their homeland

These truths do not negate (or should not) negate a Palestinian narrative that they are also native to the land and have lived there for generations. However, it replaces the extremist vitriol prevalent among Palestinian leadership, radical imams, college professors (like Columbia University’s Joseph Massad) and the B.D.S. movement which are built on the foundation of antisemitism in advancing anti-Zionism.

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas addressed the United Nations on May 15, 2023 and rejected the history of Jews in their homeland.

In addition to reiterating these facts, governments and the United Nations need to take clear steps to advance peace:

  • Unequivocally support the Jewish State in fighting terror
  • Unequivocally condemn the recruiting, training, arming and using children as terrorists
  • Clearly label Hamas as not only an Islamic militant group but a designated terrorist group, no different than the Taliban, ISIL and Boko Haram
  • Palestine will be unwelcome to speak at the United Nations unless it ceases funding and inciting terrorist activities
  • Support Jews peacefully accessing and praying at their holiest site on the Temple Mount, a fundamental human right (reject the “status quo”)
  • Repeal UN Security Council Resolution 2334 which made it illegal for Jews – and only Jews – to live throughout their homeland

As long as the UN continues to waffle – and contradict – these moral points, Palestinians will continue to reject coexistence and pursue terrorism against Jews. The local Arabs believe that Hamas’s terrorism got Israel to leave Gaza in 2005, and the next generation of terrorists will ultimately chase Jews from their promised land.

The world is exacerbating Palestinian terrorism and destroying any path towards peace because it fails to address the root cause of the conflict which is Palestinians’ refusal to coexist with Jews. The flawed traditional bias of pressuring the more powerful party (Israel) and absolving the weaker (Palestinian Arabs) is exactly the opposite of what is required to form an enduring peace in the Middle East.

Palestinians View Jews Like The French Viewed Nazis

Zionists have not internalized the venom with which most Arabs view Jewish presence in the holy land.

Nazi Germany invaded France in May 1940 and the reaction was mixed. A minority saddled up to the Nazis and facilitated the enactment of antisemitic laws and rounding up Jews for deportation. Many French formed “resistance” groups to fight the invaders, and enlisted the help of foreign countries to rid the homeland of those interlopers. They used all means at their disposal to return France to its 1939 reality.

Most Palestinian Arabs view Jews in the holy land the same way.

Arabs reject the history of Jews in Israel, especially in Jerusalem. They claim that the entire Zionist enterprise is a fiction of European creation. Palestinian leadership demands an apology from the United Kingdom for advancing the Balfour Declaration, and Hamas, the dominant political party in the Palestinian parliament considers killing Jews a “natural” response to the colonialist effort. They “resist” the Jews by any and all means possible, and polls show the majority of Palestinian Arabs support killing Jews inside of Israel. They are convinced that eventually these foreign Jews will leave and that the Jewish State won’t live to see its 100th birthday.

Anti-Zionist groups understand this. The Palestinian group Within Our Lifetime held a rally calling to use “any means necessary” (meaning violence) to liberate their land “from the river to the sea.” The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) told attendees at a conference that American Jews are “enemies” because they support Israel. Students for Justice in Palestine say Zionism is based on “racism, expansionism, [and] settler colonialism,” and the Palestinian Authority Minister of Culture called Jews “invaders.

Palestinians aren’t frustrated by the lack of a Palestinian State on a fraction of historic Palestine; they are infuriated that the world would consider chopping up their homeland. They rejected the notion of a Jewish State in 1917, again at the United Nations in 1947, and to this very moment. They don’t think of a “Nakba” as an event in the past, but discuss an “ongoing Nakba” in Israel’s existence now.

Yet people talk about the “two state solution” as though it is something that needs to be imposed on Israel, when Israel is the party that has consistently tried to advance an enduring peace. It is the Arabs who reject the “invaders”, “colonialists” and “enemies” who have robbed them of their homeland.

One cannot advance actions for a “peace process” without interalizing that Palestinian Arabs continue to reject the basic presence of Jews. From the 1940s through 1970s, the Palestinians turned to fellow Muslim Arab countries to destroy the Jewish State. Now they turn to the global community to combat the “Zionist entity” and Zionists in the global community.
