The Godfather is a classic in American cinema. The 1972 film won numerous awards including in the Best Picture category. The penultimate scene cemented the script in daring story-telling, as the leading figure, Michael Corleone, set himself as head of the new order.
While Corleone stood in church to be the godfather of a young child being baptised, his hitmen took out the heads of the competing crime families. In doing so, Corleone positioned himself to control the region without challenge.
Perhaps the United States, Israel and Saudi Arabia will consider doing something similar to the warlords backed by the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Iran is the leading state sponsor of terrorism, including the Houthis in Yemen, Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Gaza. Each group has caused death and destruction, dismantling any chance for a civilized life for residents and neighbors.
Now, as Iran attempts to stop Saudi Arabia from getting nuclear power from the United States, and establishing an alliance with Israel, it has released its dogs of war to inflict brutality and carnage.
To avert mass destruction and set a better course for the Middle East, the troika of US, Israel and Saudi Arabia could take out the leadership of Hamas in Qatar, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and Houthis in Yemen. It would send a clear message to Iran that the US has not left the world to a Russia-China-Iran axis, and avert the deaths of many thousands of civilians throughout the region.
In ‘The Godfather,’ it took a “massacre” to get the families to stop killing each other, and ultimately the heads of the crime syndicates paid the price. As the Middle East prepares for a large scale war, the United States may want to send a clear and unmistakable message to Iran that the period of terrorism in the Middle East is over.

“Present” voters included Pramila Jayapal (WA-07), another member of the far left-wing of the party. Other left-wing extremists who have been critical of Israel like Betty McCollum (D-IL) did vote in favor of the resolution. One Republican, Thomas Massie (R-KY), also voted against the bill, who was not coincidentally the only Republican to not support funding the defensive Iron Dome system for Israel.
The votes of the socialists is not surprising. It is a movement that is trying to dismantle the west and its approach of capitalism, “imperialism” and “colonialism”, wanting to bring back the good old days of the Russian revolution.
In the immediate aftermath of the gruesome Hamas butchery, The World Wide Socialist Website, posted a quote by Leon Trotsky from 1938 on the eve of the Holocaust, “A slave-owner who through cunning and violence shackles a slave in chains, and a slave who through cunning or violence breaks the chains–let not the contemptible eunuchs tell us that they are equals before a court of morality!“
That is the view of socialists. Barbarism is a rightful act by the Palestinians because they fought a war to destroy Jewish “invaders” in 1948 and lost. They support Palestinians taking over Israel, and if it be by blood, rape, fire, beheadings, or other acts of evil, so be it.
The socialist site discussed its disgust at the United States supporting Israel, stating “The World Socialist Web Site condemns the vicious and obscenely hypocritical statements of President Joe Biden and leaders of the European Union denouncing the Palestinian resistance as “terrorism”…. As always, the sympathies of the imperialist powers are with the oppressors. Any manifestation of resistance by the oppressed is greeted with frenzied denunciations. The media ignores the fact that the Israeli government is led by a criminal, whose coalition is dominated by fascistic racists and is engaged in efforts to suppress the constitution.”
It would go on to compare Gazans to Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto, and Israelis to Nazis. Blatant antisemitism.
A toxic mix of rabid antisemitism and socialism have penetrated American universities and congress. It is coming for the Jewish State and soon diaspora Jewry. In the end, it will come for the West.
Americans are debating free speech on college campuses, as “resistance” protests have emerged around the country with students supporting the brutal massacre and butchery of 1,400 Jews in Israel. While Jewish students mourned for murdered friends and relatives, they walked passed schoolmates who were celebrating, sitting in class next to classmates who said that their families were thrilled about the slaughter of Jews, and in front a professor who discussed the “start of the Palestinian War of Liberation“, meaning the end of the Jewish State.
University administrators, who want to foster “free speech” allow – and often encourage – the spectacle to go on, knowing that Jews feel threatened. The years of trying to create “safe spaces” for the young people – including calling for disciplinary action for misgendering someone – seemingly had limits.
The AMCHA Initiative has done extensive studies which shows that universities with five or more pro-Israeli boycott professors are more than seven times more likely to have antisemitic incidents on campus than those with fewer. They similarly showed that those with a Students for Justice in Palestine chapter on campus are at least five times more likely to intimidate and harass Jewish students.
The KKK, the most infamous hate group in the United States, despises Jews. And Blacks. And other minorities.
The hate group had been sidelined for years and thought it would be able to make a breakthrough during the Trump administration. To its disappointment, it did not have the money to influence universities the way Qatar, Saudi Arabia and other Muslim countries did in pouring billions of dollars onto campuses to build the anti-Zionist and antisemitic infrastructure.
But with a few student signatures and a single university professor with tenure, the KKK can open a chapter on campus. It can spout its false and hate-filled bile. And the university presidents will presumably remain silent, just as they have about SJP.

Jamaal Bowman’s Fire Alarm & Nazi Lies
The current controversy of whether Bowman pulled a fire alarm in Congress is a small part of the story. He either pulled the alarm because 1) he’s an idiot who can’t read the word “FIRE” or doesn’t know what a fire alarm looks like despite years as a middle school principal, running dozens of fire drills; 2) did it on purpose and put thousands of lives at risk both in causing the evacuation of the building and pulling firefighters from actual emergencies, so he can delay a House vote to give Democrats more time to assess their strategy; or 3) was simply “confused” as he’d like you to believe.
Bowman’s staff then tried to protect their master by swearing allegiance to him and calling Republicans “Nazis” to distract attention from the episode – sort of like calling “fire over there!”. After decent people complained at using the genocide of Jews as a political fig leaf, Bowman said that he hadn’t approved of the use of the word Nazi and “I condemn the use of the term Nazi out of its precise definition. It is important to specify the term Nazi to refer to members of the Nazi party & neo-Nazis.”
That’s a lie as Bowman has called Republicans “Nazis” including conservative pundit Michael Knowles. He underscored the point saying that the Conservative Political Action Conference “support[s] a future run by Nazis.”
Jamaal Bowman’s Infrastructure Bill Lie
Bowman took to the airwaves with political theater lambasting Sen. Joe Manchin voting against the infrastructure bill, then Bowman himself voted against it. Not satisfied with hypocrisy, Bowman then lied to his constituents that he backed the bill.

Bowman likes to make himself sound like he’s in the fight for the every day worker, a populist in the model of x-President Trump. He’s claimed that the “average donation [to his campaign] is about 40 bucks,” but in fact it was $607, fifteen times as much.
But Bowman is not just a liar and hypocrite. He’s dangerous.
Jamaal Bowman Is Dangerous
The garden variety liar says that they weigh less than they actually do or maybe are a few inches taller. An average political liar would say that they were in the line of fire visiting a foreign country, when in fact they were quite safe. Bold-faced political liars make up their entire background in order to get elected.
But pulling a fire alarm to put thousands of lives at risk? Concealing the act by belittling the genocide of Jews while Jews in his district and his state are suffering from terrible antisemitism? Pushing to have the rap music of antisemites who sing about violence into school curricula?
Jamaal Bowman is only concerned with a narrow slice of his constituents: Black people, Muslims and radical leftists. He has utter contempt for moderates, a point he makes every day.
The question is whether a moderate Democrat who speaks for the entire district will oppose him in the primaries. We can only hope.
The antisemites of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan continued their evil ways in condemning Jews visiting their holiest location on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, even during the Jewish pilgrimage holiday of Sukkot. The Jordanian foreign minister “denounced the continuous break-ins by Israeli settlers [meaning Jews] at Al Aqsa Mosque” and “that the 144-dunum Al Aqsa Mosque is solely an Islamic holy site” and is completely off-limits to Jews.
This false narrative was inserted by Muslim and Arab nations into the United Nations which has subsequently used it for decades.

As seen in the United Nations’ map above, the The Temple Mount (in red dotted lines) is not marked correctly as a Jewish holy site. The “Haram esh-Sharif (Mosque of Omar and Mosque of Aksa” is only listed as a Moslem holy place, a deliberate insult to global Jewry.
The United States has sometimes taken offense at the erasure of Jewish heritage in Jerusalem. In response to a United Nations vote on Jerusalem in December 2021, Ambassador Richard Erdman, Area Advisor for Near Eastern Affairs issued a statement: “I want to highlight one specific issue of serious concern, which is the reference to the holy sites in the Jerusalem text. The text only references “Haram al-Sharif,” rather than “Haram al-Sharif/Temple Mount,” which is agreed terminology that recognizes the shared and diverse history of the holy site. The omission of this inclusive terminology is of real and sincere concern. It is morally, historically, and politically wrong for the members of this body to support language that denies both the Jewish and Muslim connections to the Temple Mount and Haram al-Sharif.“
Yet despite condemning the lack of LANGUAGE showing Jewish connection to the Temple Mount, the United States supports antisemitic ACTIONS against Jews praying at their holiest site.
On September 28, 2023, Linda Thomas-Greenfield said “I also want to reiterate that the United States firmly supports the preservation of the historic status quo with respect to the holy sites in Jerusalem [banning Jewish prayer on the Temple Mount]. And we oppose actions that depart from the historic status quo, or otherwise disturb the sanctity of these sites. Such action is unacceptable.”
It is a disgrace that the United States can acknowledge the centrality of the Temple Mount to Jews and Judaism, while simultaneously supporting banning Jews from praying at the site. The United States is aligning with antisemites on the wrong side of history, supporting outright discrimination in a Muslim religious war against Jews.
Why is the Biden Administration so determined to spread anger, division and hate? Why is it supporting policies in which Jews are targeted for attack at their holy site? To gain support against the Iranian nuclear weapons program or lowering the price of gas a few cents?
It is past time for decent governments to support an honest telling of history and abolish the inequity Jews continue to face in Jerusalem.

Disgraced Congressman Jamaal Bowman (D-NY16) has now admitted to pulling a fire alarm in the halls of congress. Fearing that his apology would be viewed as insufficient, he has instructed his staff to defend his actions by redirecting the question towards Republicans which he calls “Nazis“.

The internal memo specifically calls on staffers to swear loyalty to the radical congressman and say “I believe Congressman Bowman when he says this was an accident. Republicans need to instead focus their energy on the Nazi members of their party before anything else.”
What kind of inanity is this? It makes a mockery of the entire concept of an apology to hurl insults at the other political party and minimizing the Holocaust as simple fodder for political cover.

September 16 and 17, 2023 were celebrated by Jews around the world as the start of the new year. Together with Yom Kippur next week, they mark the holiest days in Judaism.
The United States embassy to Israel did not mark the occasion with any wishes to the Jews in Israel or around the world. This stood in sharp contrast to commemorating holidays for other religions.
Yet the embassy did not post about Jewish Heritage Month in May. It did not post Passover wishes which coincided with Ramadan in 2023. It has not wished any Jews greetings over their high holy days in September.
The embassy is well aware of the holidays. It chose to warn Jews to not travel to Uman, Ukraine over Rosh Hashana. President Biden wished Jews a happy holiday but the embassy staff in Israel did think it important to share, even as it does so for Muslim holidays.
The current staff of the U.S. embassy to Israel is seemingly going out of its way to belittle Jews and Judaism, and court Arabs and Muslims.
US Ambassador to the United Nations lambasts “settlement activity.”
What happened: Linda Thomas-Greenfield, US Ambassador to the United Nations replied to remarks made by Tor Wennesland, UN’s Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, at the UN Security Council on August 21, 2023. After condemning all acts of violence, whether committed by “Palestinian militants, or extremist Israeli settlers”, she added:
“we urge all parties to take proactive measures to counter all forms of violence and incitement to violence, and refrain from actions that inflame tensions including settlement activity, evictions, the demolition of Palestinian homes, terrorism, incitement of violence, and payments to the families of terrorists.”
The Message: The United States has taken the position that Jews living east of the 1949 Armistice Lines (E49) (commonly called “settlers”) is so upsetting to Arabs that it is on the same level as Palestinians killing Jewish civilians.
It suggests that the US position is that Israeli “actions that inflame tensions,” which could be normal non-violent activity such as Jews visiting the Jewish Temple Mount during normal visiting hours, is equivalent to Palestinians inciting violence and the Arab government paying for the murder.

The Danger: There is no moral equivalence between terrorism and… anything. By equating the payment, incitement and actual murder of people with anything, is a tacit blessing to engage in every kind of preventative activity – including violence – to stop such actions from taking place. In the case of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, it greenlights Palestinian jihadists to attack Jews sleeping in their beds, visiting a car wash or praying in the Old City of Jerusalem.

The Democratic Socialists of America is the largest and most powerful organization of the alt-left today. It has over 92,000 members and a chapter in every state, and has been effective in winning elections in liberal regions to enact extremist policies.
Beyond its call for legalizing a populist kleptocracy in a broad redistribution of wealth to “working people”, the group has opted to single out and vilify Israel and its supporters. It is progressively taking steps to call for the outright targeting of Jews for all measures of attack, including violence.
Banning the Jewish State
The official platform of the DSA is anti-Israel. The site notes that the “platform proudly states continued support for and involvement with the Palestinian-led Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement, and efforts to eliminate U.S. military aid to Israel, while resisting the “normalization” of relationships between the Israeli government and other governments.” That any organization can be against coexistence between Israel and its Arab neighbors is despicable and says much about its attitudes more broadly. That it only boycotts Israel and not Iran, North Korea or Saudi Arabia points to a decidedly antisemitic core.
The DSA chapter in New York City asked candidates to pledge to not even visit Israel and see firsthand what is happening, and blindly follow Palestinian propaganda. The questionnaire asked “Do you pledge not to travel to Israel if elected to City Council in solidarity with Palestinians living under occupation? Even though foreign policy falls outside the purview of municipal government, gestures like travel to a country by elected officials from a city the size and prominence of New York still send a powerful message, as would the refusal to participate in them,” acknowledging that the politician’s job as a local elected official had nothing to do with Israel but the group still wanted to broadcast its loathsome opinions. Even left-wing politicians like State Senator Brad Hoylman said the question about Israel was “repugnant.“
Withholding Protection of Jews and Open Season on Jews
In June 2023, DSA tweeted that “in a settler colonial context there are no such things as “civilians”, but disregarding that even, it’s total folly to honestly compare settlers perpetuating pogroms to resistance groups deploying violence to liberate themselves.” Note that the Palestinian narrative considers all of Israel to be a settlement, and thereby calls the presence of any Jew to be a member of the military and fair target for violence. Rep. Ritchie Torres was apoplectic and rebuked the DSA for “declaring them [Jews] fair game for violence and terror.“

In August 2023, the DSA held its convention in Chicago when it considered how far to lean into condemning Jews and the Jewish State and calling for violence on both. It opted to stay more mainstream and remain part of the Democratic Party and criticize Israel, rather than break off into a completely new political party and go full jihadi.
A writer on the World Socialist Web Site wrote that the action was deeply disappointing to many in attendance, in failing to even bring the resolution to the floor. “In rejecting the proposed amendment, the DSA has resolved to support Democratic Party politicians no matter how right-wing they are and has explicitly stated its hostility to socialism. The rejected amendment would have required the DSA hold its members “accountable” if they “vote for measures which expand or strengthen the police,” “vote for any restrictions on the independent action of the working class, such as the right to strike,” or “vote for military budgets, the imperial war machine, or military aid to US client states such as the apartheid state of Israel.””
It is likely that had the group voted on the resolution it would have passed. While an independent DSA party would likely have weakened its position politically around the country, it would have freed it to openly air its antisemitic preferences.
The leaders of the DSA tactically decided to stay within the Democratic Party and advance its anti-Jewish and anti-Zionist narrative inside party ranks. While slower to advance extremist ideas, it positions the group to gain power politically much faster.
The dike that has held back the cesspool of antisemitism is being gnawed at by radical extremists infiltrating politics, and their potential success would drown the largest Jewish community in the diaspora.
