The VERY WRONG Takeaways From Democratic Politicians

After the clean sweep of the presidency, Senate and House by Republicans, Democratic politicians are trying to figure out why they lost. Mainstream Democrats like Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) thinks that the party needs to pivot to economic issues and away from social issues, emphasizing the need to “take power” from the powerful and hand it to the working class. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) thinks that there’s an “oligarchy” in the United States who steal everyone’s money and buy elections, so Democrats should focus on seizing and redistributing that wealth.

If those are the lessons learned, the Democrats will continue to lose, as they should.

  1. Money in elections. The Democrats spent about one-third more than Republicans and lost big. The dollar spent per vote was about 50% more. The numbers show that it’s not about money in politics or the Democrats would have sailed away with victory.
  2. America’s “oligarchy.” The richest people in the United States BUILT amazing companies and created millions of jobs and products that people love. The oligarchs in Russia just STOLE state assets. Sanders & Co. have a basic lack of understanding of economics which feeds a deep contempt for wealthy people. The distortion leads people like Sanders to the horrific conclusions and proposed policies that deny Americans property rights.
  3. Americans feel “impotent”. Murphy’s claim that Americans feel that only a handful of people hold power is true about the omnipotent Democratic political machine: They decided to throw President Biden out of the running. They unilaterally decided that VP Kamala Harris was going to run as the party’s nominee without allowing everyday Americans the opportunity to vote for their nominee. Democratic politicians are the imperialist power players and people are waking up to that grotesque fact. Most do not want to pivot to the far-left like Justice Democrats who accuse the Democrats of imperialism, so they pivot right.

The Democrats should now appreciate that they should have never picked Harris for vice president four years ago. You don’t pick one of the most left-wing senators from the most radical left-wing state and assume that such person could win most of America. Knowing her baggage and role in the unpopular Biden administration, Harris’s attempt to pivot towards the middle came off as completely inauthentic, a non-starter for many voters.

Considering the above, the election takeaways for the public and the Democratic Party and possible plans for the future include:

  1. The Democratic machine was tactically smart to lie to Americans about Biden’s health. Harris was never going to beat any Republican – as the November election showed – so the best chance of her becoming president was to prop up Biden until the middle of 2025 and then let him resign to hand the presidency to Harris. The question isn’t why the Democrats waited so long to admit to Biden’s health issues; there was no other option, as even $1.5 billion dollars highlighted. [Note that Pelosi and gang are very astute – it will be important to trace the monies spent on the Harris campaign to see if/how much was siphoned off to favorite causes and other Democratic politicians for future races.]
  2. Pick presidential candidates from swing states. Democrats should stay away from California, Massachusetts and New York and run candidates from Pennsylvania, Georgia or Michigan. The electoral college is not just a game of arithmetic; the candidates should be broadly attractive for everyone, not niche extremists.
  3. The far-left wing “Squad” of the Democratic party is a toxic anchor that shut be cut off. The Democratic Socialists of America held a vote in August 2023 to remain inside the Democratic party to pull the party leftward rather than break into its own party, stating “It is not advisable for us to form an independent political party with its own ballot line at this moment.” The stink of their socialist policies has washed over Democrats. The party should expel the toxic DSA politicians and candidates, including Rep.Rashida Tlaib (D-MI).
  4. Stop the wealth transfer platform. No American will feel safe if the idea that their property can be seized by the government and handed over to someone the government prefers. Immigrants know the corrupt communism and socialism of property theft. They came to this country for a fair shot at capitalism to become wealthy. Don’t vilify billionaires as immoral, the way AOC says.
  5. Decentralize and narrowly focus. Don’t push an issue like fracking or gender identity in sports onto the national stage. What may fly in Oregon may not in Texas, and making politicians delve into matters that are best handled locally will inevitably rub many people the wrong way. National campaigns should always lead with safety and the economy. Always, in every election.

Mainstream and extreme Democrats are so trapped in their political philosophies that they believe that the election loss was an issue of messaging. It was not. Americans have eyes and ears and did not appreciate the pig under the lipstick.

The critical issues of security and the economy were alight with global wars, rampant antisemitism, inflation, grab-and-go theft and the National Guard in the subways over the past four years. Keeping the socialist-jihadi fringe inside the party whose policies include destroying the economy and embracing genocidal terrorists will forever sink anyone in their orbit on a national level.

The image of the Democratic policies and priorities

Most importantly, Democrats need to stop pitting groups against each other – the powerful versus working class and Whites versus people of color – and then vilifying their foes as ‘Nazis’ and ‘deplorables.’ The only segment to move leftward towards those positions were those they targeted who dutifully ate their humble pie – educated White men – while the non-woke uneducated and minority groups watched the pandering as inherently racist, anti-religion and anti-Democratic.

Americans are abandoning the politics and universities of wokeism. It’s a good thing. Democrats will now decide whether to jettison it or continue to cleave to their intersectional and DEI ideology.

Wednesday Morning Quarterback… Four Years Ago

Republican former President Donald Trump handedly defeated Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris, and liberals have begun second guessing their strategies and choices that led to her defeat. Many consider whether Harris could have won had she (or the Democratic establishment that surrounded her) selected Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro as a running mate. The popular governor might have been able to help Harris win the Keystone State (which she lost) and had more Jews support her in other races, perhaps delivering Georgia, Arizona and Nevada.

The reality is that Harris and the Democrats fought a very good race – considering the TOP of the ticket. Bringing in Harris late in the election cycle, limiting her interviews to prevent gaffes, and making the election about her not being Donald Trump was smart. However, it could not overcome the Biden-Harris term being deeply unpopular and Harris could not separate herself from the administration in which she served.

The correct question for Democrats this Wednesday morning was not what they did wrong over the past few months but what they did FOUR YEARS AGO. Specifically, choosing Harris as the Vice President because she was a Black woman, and allowing the nation’s border to be overrun.

Harris never won a single delegate in her 2020 run for the president. She had a voting record as a member of the alt-left coming from a radically woke state. Had Biden chosen a moderate and qualified candidate from one of the seven swing states, the 2024 election would have been much easier for the Democrats to secure. Opting to pick a person a heartbeat from the presidency purely because of her intersectionality characteristics was more than a blunder.

In addition, the Biden-Harris failure at the borders put Americans at risk. Americans listed it as one of the key considerations in selecting a president along with the economy (in which people also preferred Trump), well above abortion rights. But the Democratic machinery was tethered to the reality of the past four years, even as they attempted to make the race about democracy and women’s rights.

Democrats began to get tough on the border late in the term but the impact was already present, much like the soaring inflation of Biden-Harris’s first years in office leveled off, but the cumulative effect was already baked into everyone’s daily living. Wars in Ukraine and Israel made the world feel unsafe and rudderless.

Picking Josh Shapiro as the VP might have helped Harris win the 2024 election but it would have just covered up bad choices of the last four years. The takeaway should be more strategic to develop better tactics for the future, not just thinking about the choice of VP in the immediate race.

Americans voted for the economy and safety. Just like Israel. As long as Democrats appear as the party of redistributing wealth, defunding the police and porous borders, with left-wing politicians from left-wing states as their spokespeople, they will continue to lose races they could have won.

Will Jews Pivot To Law, Order And Self-Interest?

American Jews have long favored Democrats in presidential elections. The best showings that Republican candidates have had since World War II among Jews was 40% (Eisenhower 1956), 39% (Reagan 1980) and 36% (Eisenhower 1952). Since the 1992 election, Democrats have sailed to clear majorities with between 68% and 80% of the Jewish vote for president. On average, 71% of Jewish voters chose Democratic candidates and 26% chose Republicans since 1968.

Historians consider that Jews aligned themselves with Democrats as it was considered the party of working class immigrants, just as the Jews were coming to the country from Europe and the USSR in the first half of the 20th century. As Jews became more established in America, and the Second Vatican Council of 1965 pushed antisemitism out of the Catholic doctrine, Jews sought candidates which had greater support for their economic and religious (Judeo-Christian) interests between 1972 and 1988 and began to vote for Republicans more frequently. Bill Clinton’s popularity helped bring Jews back overwhelmingly to the Democrats but that faded as Democratic candidates emerged from left-wing states of Illinois, New York and Massachusetts.

President Ronald Reagan (R-CA) at a Jewish synagogue

The majority of Jews still live in liberal states including New York, California, New Jersey, but many now reside in conservative Florida and moderate Pennsylvania. Overall, Jews are moving away from the Northeast (from 63% in 1971 to 40% in 2020) to the South (12% in 1971 to 25% in 2020) according to Brandeis. They are going for the sun and lower taxes to live with more conservative neighbors.

This 2024 election may yield a breakthrough of Jews voting for the Republican candidate, former President Donald Trump. No Republican candidate crossed the 30% of Jewish vote threshold since George HW Bush in 1988 collected 35% of the Jewish vote. Trump’s share of the Jewish vote jumped from 24% in 2016 to 30% in 2020.

And it is likely to be higher in 2024.

His opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris comes from California, a radical liberal state, and she had a voting record among the most liberal in the country while she served as senator. Moreso, fellow leading Democrats like Sen. Chuck Schumer have shown no interest in combatting the alarming level of antisemitism in the country over the past year, and the “woke” fringe of the party has grown and shown itself to have alarming levels of antisemitism.

If Trump pulls over 30% of the Jewish vote – particularly in Pennsylvania (where the Jewish population is about 430,000 or 3.3% of the state), Georgia (140,000; 1.3%) and Michigan (87,000, 0.9%) – it might prove to be the tipping point to help Trump win the electoral college.

American Jewry: Approximately 5%, 2% and 2% of American Jews live in swing states of Pennsylvania, Georgia and Michigan, respectively (Brandeis)
Jews outnumber Muslims in Pennsylvania by almost 3-to-1

The trend of Jews voting more Republican is likely to continue into the future. Orthodox Jews are currently the only denomination to vote Republican (75% according to Pew) and they have much higher fertility rates than the non-Orthodox streams. Orthodox Jews made up roughly 12% of American Jewry in 2021, which is expected to grow to 29% by 2063 according to a study by Yale. That will likely yield a more conservative voter base for the Republican party.

Republican candidate Donald Trump visits grave of the Lubavitch rebbe

The media is focused on the Israeli record of Trump and Biden-Harris in their analysis of how Jews will vote, and it is a factor amid the Iranian proxy-Israel war. But so is the growing segment of Jews who do not want to see economic interests and religion trampled by liberal laws, nor suffer overt (physical attacks and harassment) and covert (DEI mandates) discrimination.

Presidential Authenticity

Vice President Kamala Harris continues to lose Democratic voters in each poll. Of particular concern for Democrats is that the first Black female presidential candidate is fading among the majority-minority cohort of Black and Latino voters who are normally lock-step with the party.

The pundits blame Harris’s poor showing on the belief that former President Donald Trump will do a better job on two key policy matters, the economy and immigration. What is not mentioned is that people view Harris as a phony.

For nearly four years, Americans have watched Harris perfect the “word salad” of incomprehensible blabber. They’ve cringe- watched her repeat the same canned script dozens of times.

Most recently, they’ve watched the Democratic big wigs push out the sitting president and anoint his successor without consulting the public.

In these few weeks before election day, Americans are watching Harris avoid unscripted events. They’re watching the Democratic machine script a platform designed to gather broad appeal remaking the candidate.

This is not the easy oratory of Barack Obama but a puppet show. Harris is a mannequin dressed for the crowds by Democratic power brokers looking to quickly cement a presidency which they will choreograph.

And people don’t like it. They may enjoy Harris’s (her handlers’) packaged statements but know they are being duped in a very heavy-handed manner by a cabal that concealed President Joe Biden’s mental decline for months.

Half of the top six traits that people look for in a successful leader are being trustworthy, honest and authentic, according to U.S. News & World Report. Harris – and the current cast of Democrats – fails on all three.

Black and Hispanic votes were more likely to place ambitious and humble as important characteristics, but no candidate to lead the great nation can approach that position in the current political framework without ambition and arrogance.

Trump may say outlandish things but people believe him to be authentic. He may  be convicted of felony crimes but he doesn’t waffle. He may be making the Republican party chase after him but it beats watching the Democratic elites completely orchestrating the election and controlling their candidate and the media.

And dominating a female minority to boot.

Democrats would do better by encouraging Harris to do town hall meetings in the seven swing states and let her answer questions honestly. The lingering fear of Harris’s statements may be more of a liability than her actual comments.

Kamala Harris Is Part Of The Left-Wing Fringe

Vice President Kamala Harris moved quickly to become the presumptive Democratic nominee for president after President Joe Biden announced that he would no longer run for re-election just weeks before the Democratic National Convention. Rather than let Democratic voters decide on their nominee, the Democratic establishment rallied behind Harris and shut down voter wishes for alternatives.

Immediately after the Democratic establishment rallied behind Harris, far-left Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) endorsed Harris. In her endorsement, Bush said “When we say trust Black women, we mean it. Black women are the backbone of the Democratic Party and it is past time for us to lead our country forward.”

It’s not a surprise. While Harris served in the Senate, she was listed as one of the most partisan senators, scoring a -0.92670, ranking #93 out of 98 senators scored (majority and minority leaders are excluded), according to the Lugar Center Bipartisan Index. That scored her close to House squad member Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) who scored a -0.94183 during the same 2019 Congress.

People voted Joe Biden to the presidency in 2020 because he was a moderate. The Lugar Center scored Biden in the top 20% of bipartisan senators all-time, coming in at #47 out of #250 scored. When Biden selected Harris to join the ticket, it was widely viewed as a nod to rally the far-left wing of the party onboard which was upset that Democratic Socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders did not secure the nomination.

It caused many people concern at the time. During a 60 Minutes interview in 2020, Harris was questioned about her extremist views and record. She cackled her way through the question, reluctantly responding that she is on board with Biden’s approaches to policy.

The powerful teachers unions have gone all-in on Harris, including the National Education Association and the American Federation of Teachers. The NEA is pushing to begin indoctrinating its members in several anti-Israel items including: the ‘Nakba’ narrative; teaching that anti-Zionism is not antisemitism; endorsing the BDS (boycott, divest and sanctioning) of Israel; call to stop funding Israel’s military; and call Israel’s operation in Gaza a “genocide.” AFT considered similar resolutions as the socialist teacher unions try to indoctrinate America’s future in a socialist-jihadi narrative

As president, Harris will become “unburdened by what has been,” meaning the more moderate and pro-Israel policies of Biden, and free to push an extremist socialist agenda.

Biden’s “Slimmest Possible Majority”

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre issued a bizarre statement on behalf of President Joe Biden about Israel’s passing of a law to limit one method which the Supreme Court uses to block legislation. Her July 24 statement was:

“As a lifelong friend of Israel, President Biden has publicly and privately expressed his views that major changes in a democracy to be enduring must have as broad a consensus as possible.  It is unfortunate that the vote today took place with the slimmest possible majority.  We understand talks are ongoing and likely to continue over the coming weeks and months to forge a broader compromise even with the Knesset in recess.  The United States will continue to support the efforts of President Herzog and other Israeli leaders as they seek to build a broader consensus through political dialogue.”

Let’s unpack the statement surrounding “the slimmest possible majority.”

  1. The vote was 64-0. The opposition walked out, leaving the final tally a complete trouncing.
  2. In the 120-seat Knesset, a majority is 61 seats. The vote passed with three votes over the slimmest majority.
  3. The total of 64 of 120 seats is 53.3% of the total. That compares to US President Biden getting 51.3% of the popular vote in the 2020 election, a very slim majority.
  4. Israelis voted 61-50 with 8 abstentions to support the Oslo Accords in September 1993. Should the Israelis have abandoned the effort to work out a peace agreement with the Stateless Arabs from Palestine (SAPs) at the outset with truly the “slimmest possible majority”?
  5. If a “broad consensus” is desired for “major changes in a democracy,” the 6-3 U.S. Supreme Court ruling (66.7%) overturning Roe v. Wade looks to be the enduring preferred outcome for the Biden administration, so why all of the fuss?

Further, if everything should be decided by a broad consensus, why has Biden issued any executive orders, let alone nearly 120 of them, including forgiving over $66 billion in student loans?

The New York Democratic Committee plans on cooking up a wide margin of victory in 2024 by gerrymandering districts yet again to unseat Republicans, a dirty political game meant to stifle the opposition. Perhaps that’s the kind of circumvention of democracy that the Biden administration favors.

The White House’s comments about the Israeli vote was both foolish and insulting. For a president who took office amid riots at the Capital building and who passes orders completely bypassing Congress, to publicly berate Israel in such fashion is a vile combination of smugness and lack of self-awareness.

American Jews have a history of supporting Democrats. It remains to be seen if the party will even obtain the “slimmest possible majority” as it continues to insult the Jewish State.

Biden Disrespects Israel and Netanyahu After Election

Brazil and Israel held elections this week to decide on the future leaders of the countries.

In Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, a left-wing politician and former president of Brazil, defeated the incumbent by two million votes on October 30. US President Joe Biden called the president-elect of Brazil the following day. As featured on the US embassy in Brazil’s website, “President Biden commended the strength of Brazilian democratic institutions following free, fair, and credible elections. The two leaders discussed the strong relationship between the United States and Brazil, and committed to continue working as partners to address common challenges, including combatting climate change, safeguarding food security, promoting inclusion and democracy, and managing regional migration.

On November 2, Israel held elections, its fifth in four years. Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party won the most votes and his right-wing block easily had a majority to lead the next Knesset. As in Brazil, a former leader came to defeat an incumbent, but the reaction of Biden was markedly different.

On the day following the vote, the US embassy in Israel did not say that Biden called Netanyahu. It did not say that the two countries would work together “to address common challenges.”

Instead, the press release posted a release from Ned Price, a spokesperson from the State Department. It read: “Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken spoke today with Prime Minister Yair Lapid to commend Israel for its free and fair elections, and to thank the Prime Minister for his partnership.  The Secretary reaffirmed the strength of the U.S.-Israel bilateral relationship. He also emphasized his deep concern over the situation in the West Bank, including heightened tensions, violence, and loss of both Israeli and Palestinian lives, and underscored the need for all parties to urgently de-escalate the situation.

Rather than follow protocol with the president of the United States calling the incoming Prime Minister of Israel, the Secretary of State called the outgoing Prime Minister. Instead of discussing ways of working together, the US voiced “deep concern” and urged Israel to take action to “de-escalate the situation.”

This is highly inappropriate and a deeply insulting slap in the face of every Israeli.

When Britain elected Liz Truss, a member of the Conservative Party to be the next Prime Minister of the United Kingdom on September 5, Biden called her the next day. He offered the incoming leader congratulations and “reaffirmed the special relationship between our countries and expressed their readiness to further deepen those ties…. and discussed the importance of continued close cooperation on global challenges.”

But Biden uniquely snubbed the new leader of the Jewish State. He treated the country as a vassal to take orders, not as a partner to work with in “close cooperation on global challenges.”

Meanwhile, leaders from the around the world had no issue congratulating Netanyahu and discussing collaborating with the Jewish State.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted “Mazel Tov my friend Netanyahu for your electoral success. I look forward to continuing our joint efforts to deepen the India-Israel strategic partnership.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky tweetedCongratulations to @netanyahu on winning the elections. It’s always important to see real democracy in action. Ukraine & Israel share common values & challenges that now require effective cooperation. We hope to open a new page in cooperation with the new Government for Ukraine & Israel benefit!

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis called Netanyahu. He tweetedJust spoke with @netanyahu to congratulate him on his election victory. Looking forward to continuing the very strong relations between our two countries.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau issued a statement which led “On behalf of the Government of Canada, I congratulate Benjamin Netanyahu on his electoral success and wish him well as he moves ahead with the process of forming a coalition government. Canada’s friendship with Israel is based on a long history of close cooperation, enduring ties between our peoples, and our shared commitment to upholding democratic values.

President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola saidCongratulations @netanyahu, on your success in #Israel’s elections. The bond between the EU & Israel is one forged in shared history and based on common values of democracy, liberty & rule of law. We will keep working together for peace, security & prosperity in the region.

Italy’s Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni sent her congratulations to Netanyahu on Twitter as well, saying “Congratulations-Mazel Tov to @netanyahu for the electoral success. Ready to strengthen our friendship and our bilateral relations, to better face our common challenges.

Just days before mid-term elections in the US, President Biden completely disrespected Israel. How does he think tens of millions of American Zionists will react? How much worse will the increasingly anti-Israel Democratic Party treat the Jewish State when votes are not on the line?

If Biden Is Half Right, Is He All Wrong?

President Joe Biden called the United States to order this week in asking all Americans to tune into a prime time address staged outside Independence Hall in Philadelphia. It was an address he believed was of the utmost importance: to save democracy.

That is indeed a most important subject. Biden was right to call out “extremists” (which he mentioned six times, and political “violence” (ten times) as real risks which threaten our society. It is a principle beyond partisanship.

Alas, Biden destroyed his 3,000-word speech by only calling out extremists to the right of him, and not to the left.

He tried to coin a phrase “MAGA Republicans” (used 13 times) to describe the extremists who follow former President Donald Trump who wrongfully tried to overturn the results of the 2020 elections. He said those people “do not respect the Constitution. They do not believe in the rule of law. They do not recognize the will of the people…. and they fanned the flames of political violence that are a threat to our personal rights, to the pursuit of justice, to the rule of law, to the very soul of this country.” He made clear that they are a “threat” (used nine times) to the fabric of the United States.

Biden pretended that the extremists exist on only one side of the political spectrum. He ignored the raucous left that burned the streets of America and assaulted our persons and property:

The extremists to the left include anti-Semites like Rep. Rashida Tlaib and Rep. Ilhan Omar. Instead of lambasting their disgraceful incitement against Jews, Democratic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi rewarded Omar with passing an act denouncing Islamophobia.

The far-left extremists are inciting hatred against the police, capitalism and Jews. They are attempting to brand all White people as racists and teach such in elementary schools. They are inciting riots and anti-Semitic attacks. But Biden won’t call it out.

President Biden calling “MAGA Republicans” a threat to democracy. He did not utter a word about radical left-wing extremists

The call to dismantle America is only part of the attack on democracy. The Obama/Biden administration gave the Islamic Republic of Iran, the leading state sponsor of terrorism, a legal pathway to nuclear weapons. Biden/Harris are working on the same, threatening All democracies around the world.

In addition to being silent on the the radical left, Biden stretched the meaning of the radical right. He said that people who were not in favor of Democrats demand for abortion until the moment of birth are threats to democracy. Does he know that over 70% of Americans are against abortions in the third trimester?

Biden said that people who were not in favor of gay marriage were extremists. Did he forget that it was illegal in the US until a few years ago? There are over 70 countries were BEING gay (let alone legalizing gay marriage) is illegal. Was his address meant to antagonize half of the world?

Biden was correct that calls for violence are completely unacceptable; people who try to rip at our common bonds that make us all Americans are threats to society. That he could only call out the alt-right while ignoring the alt-left was not just a missed opportunity to bring America to the center by clipping the fringes, but a frightening warning sign that the power of progressive extremists has already inserted itself deeply into the administration.

Two Views Of Justice, One American, Another Palestinian

US President Joe Biden announced on July 31 that he had ordered the killing of al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri, a mastermind of several terrorist attacks against the United States. In his comments about the targeted assassination of one of the leaders of the September 11, 2001 attacks, Biden saidJustice has been delivered, and this terrorist leader is no more.”

Biden added that “We make it clear again tonight that no matter how long it takes, no matter where you hide, if you are a threat to our people, the United States will find you and take you out.” However, it is unclear whether al-Zawahiri posed any current threat to the United States. Biden administration officials made no attempt to relay any planned attacks and did not offer whether there was any attempt to arrest al-Zawahiri instead of killing him.

The justice was seemingly solely based on al-Zawahiri’s past actions killing thousands of innocent lives.

Biden’s view of justice served to terrorists is in sharp contrast to the Palestinian Authority that same day.

To mark the twentieth anniversary of Palestinian Arabs blowing up a cafeteria at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, murdering nine and injuring over 80, the Palestinian Authority raised the salaries of four terrorists by 14.29%.

As reported by Palestinian Media Watch, “Four of the members of the terrorist cell that carried out the attack – Wael Qassem, Wassim Abbasi, Alla Aldin Abbasi and Muhammed Odeh – were arrested shortly after [the bombing], in August 2002. Having now spent 20 years in prison, this month, the PA will give each of the terrorists a 14.29% rise in their basic salary, from 7,000 ($2,251) to 8,000 shekels/month ($2,572). Since the terrorists were residents of Jerusalem, the PA pays them an additional supplement of 300 shekels/month ($96). To date, the PA has paid each of the these four terrorists a sum of 1,034,500 shekels ($332,637). Four of the other terrorists convicted for their part in the attack on the university and other attacks include Muhammad Arman, Walid Anjas, Abdallah Barghouti and Ibrahim Hamed. Each of these terrorists is similarly receiving a monthly salary from the PA.

To date, the PA rewarded the terrorists responsible for the bombing 8,022,600 shekels ($2,579,614).”

PA President Mahmoud Abbas defended these payment before the United Nations in September when he saidWhy should we have to clarify and justify providing assistance to families of prisoners and martyrs, who are the victims of the occupation and its oppressive policies? We cannot abandon our people and we will continue striving to free all our prisoners.

The murder of innocent civilians is reprehensible. While it is unfortunate that the offending terrorists are killed instead of tried and imprisoned, it is often necessary. Justice requires as much.

The stain of inhumanity is not confined to the terrorists but permeates those who support, encourage and incentivize them. The Palestinian Authority has shown its moral code in its twisted definition of justice as rewarding terrorists.

In the United States, justice for terrorists and their victims means punishing terrorists. For Palestinian Arabs, justice requires cash compensation for the murderers and falsely labeling the slain victims as foreign invaders.

J Street Says Absolutely Nothing About President Biden’s Trip To Israel

There is nothing quite as satisfying as a single issue organization getting the attention it seeks from the president of the United States.

Imagine a pro-choice group getting a visit from President Biden. Or an organization focused on conservation watching the president announce a major environmental initiative at a national park. The press releases would be flowery and over-flowing.

So it is not a surprise that AIPAC, the bi-partisan pro-Israel organization issued press releases surrounding President Biden’s trip to the Middle East.

First on July 14, it issued a statement on the Jerusalem Declaration. The three paragraph press release opened with “AIPAC welcomes the historic Jerusalem Declaration that will strengthen and expand the U.S.-Israel relationship. This critical declaration reflects America’s enduring and ironclad alliance with the Jewish state, which is based on shared values and interests. It pledges America’s commitment to Israel’s security by ensuring the protection of Israel’s qualitative military edge.” It acknowledged the efforts of the president in the closing statement “We deeply appreciate the leadership of President Biden and Prime Minister Lapid and their administrations in forging this unequivocal commitment to the continuing partnership between the U.S. and Israel.

AIPAC issued another statement the following day thanking Saudi Arabia for opening its airspace for a direct flight from Israel for the president. AIPAC once again thanked President Biden for making it happen: “We are grateful for the efforts of President Biden and his administration in achieving this breakthrough as well as those of the Israeli and Saudi governments.

Another pro-Israel organization, the Democratic Majority For Israel (DMFI) similarly celebrated the presidential visit to Israel with a press release. It issued a three paragraph statement thanking the president, leading with “From the moment President Biden landed at Ben Gurion airport for the 10th time on Wednesday and declared, ‘You need not be a Jew to be a Zionist,’ we were reminded that his affection for the Jewish state runs, as he likes to say, ‘bone deep.’” It continued:

Over the three-day visit, the President reaffirmed his administration’s enduring commitment to the U.S.-Israel relationship through new security and technology partnerships, vowed to prevent a nuclear armed Iran, and delivered tangible steps towards advancing peace between Israel and Arab states. His emotional visit to the hallowed ground of Yad Vashem and meeting with survivors of the Holocaust underscored his promise to stand against anti-Israel and antisemitic hatred around the world.

We applaud the administration’s leadership and steady diplomacy in brokering an agreement between Saudi Arabia and Israel with the announcement that Saudi Arabia will open its airspace to planes flying to and from Israel. Now, Israel’s nearly two-million Muslim citizens will be able to take charter flights directly to Saudi Arabia to participate in the Hajj. This is an important step towards building a more peaceful and integrated Middle East. We urge the administration to keep up the momentum and continue this vital work.

This enthusiasm should not be a surprise, as DMFI is not only a pro-Israel group, but focused on the Democratic Party, getting to celebrate a Democratic president visiting Israel.

One cannot say the same for J Street.

While it mislabels itself as “the political home of pro-Israel, pro-peace Americans“, the Jewish progressive group revealed its true mission by completely skipping the Democratic president’s trip to Israel.

Screen shot of J Street press releases from June 24 to July 21, 2022 did not include any statements about Democratic President Joe Biden’s visit to Israel.

Instead of marking the incredible event of this “pro-Israel” (their words, not mine), J Street spoke about Roe v. Wade (not in its tagline), its support of far left-wing congressional candidates (five times!) and lambasting Israel three times, including a call to condition aid to Israel (something Biden said he would never do).

J Street is a far left-wing group masquerading as a pro-Israel organization, which chose not to utter a single positive thing about a Democratic president visiting Israel. Its supporters who care about Israel should shift their donations to DMFI, and those who care about other progressive issues should donate to those specific causes which speak to the donor. Abandon J Street, as it continues to reveal itself as a deceitful front to shield anti-Semites and anti-Zionists.
