The UN Cannot See Palestinian ‘Lies and Loathing’

The current head of the United Nations, Secretary-General Antonio Gutteres, is a decent man and vast improvement from prior leaders like Ban Ki Moon who all but encouraged Palestinian violence against Israelis. But within that complement is the painful recognition that the United Nations blinds all.

On November 9, 2020, in commemoration of the anniversary of Kristallnacht, the pogrom against the Jews of Germany and Austria which ushered in the Holocaust, the World Jewish Congress bestowed the Theodor Herzl award to Guterres. Upon receiving the award, the Secretary-General delivered a speech about the horrors of the Holocaust and centuries of anti-Semitism including in his home country of Portugal, which had evicted all of its Jews in the Middle Ages. He touched upon the coronavirus which has unleashed new forms of blood libels against the Jews as well as the rise of Neo-Nazis. He implored the following:

We must stand together against hatred in all its forms.  Our world today needs a return to reason – and a rejection of the lies and loathing that propelled the Nazis and that fracture societies today.

United Nations Secretary General Antonio Gutteres

Yet the organization he leads fails to reject “lies and loathing.” It is a giant megaphone for the most vile lies and propaganda which are given legitimacy by its brand. This institution created to foster world peace has morphed into a caldron of hate and vehicle to violence.

The UN acknowledges and repeats the mantra but ignores the premise when it comes to the Palestinians.

In the same speech, Gutteres added that “it remains my fervent hope that next year, a dialogue between Israelis and Palestinians can start again towards the goal of two States, living side by side in harmony and peace.” It is a fantasy sparked by a desire to see the Stateless Arabs have self-determination but ignores the systemic anti-Semitism in Palestinian society.

  • Palestinians are the most anti-Semitic people according to ADL polls
  • They elected Mahmoud Abbas as president, a man who wrote his doctoral thesis on Holocaust denial
  • They voted the terrorist group Hamas to a 58% majority of parliament, with the most anti-Semitic foundational charter ever written (a combination of Hitler’s Mein Kampf and the forgery Protocols of the Elders of Zion with vast conspiracy theories)
  • The PA leadership denies the history of Jews in the holy land
  • The PA falsely claims that Israel is ethnically cleansing Arabs from Jerusalem even though their growth rate surpasses Jews in Jerusalem and Arabs in other capital cities in the region
  • The PA falsely claims that Israel is limiting Arab access to the al Aqsa Mosque when in fact it ONLY JEWS with limited access and rights to pray
  • The Palestinian Authority names schools, public squares and tournaments after terrorists who kill Israeli civilians
  • The PA leadership calls Jews “sons of Apes and pigs
  • The PA prioritizes paying terrorists lifetime benefits above and beyond any salaries to any civil servants or others in need
PA President Mahmoud Abbas delivering speech to the United Nations in 2011

The United Nations is forever mum on these matters. It is blind to the manic anti-Semitism prevalent in Palestinian society which wishes to either kill or expel every Jew from land it views as pure Muslim holy land. The UN won’t even teach about the Holocaust in its own UNRWA schools in Gaza and the West Bank.

Palestinian attitudes towards Jews is the modern fusion of the expulsions of Jews from Spain and Portugal in the 15th century together with the Nazi Holocaust in the 20th century. The modern Inquisition is being led by Muslim nations at the United Nations with the support of far-left progressives who consider the Jewish State a colonial enterprise, an original sin which can only be exculpated with conversion or destruction.

The obstacle to peace is not Jewish homes, it is Palestinian Arab “lies and loathing” which is given support at the United Nations. Until that fact is acknowledged and addressed there is no chance for peace.

Will Palestinians Ever be Taught About the Holocaust?

The United Nations plans on having a webinar on October 29, 2020 called “Educating against Racism” as part of its series related to societies dealing with painful histories. The goal is to “develop a deeper understanding of the legacies of these painful histories – and through examining the past, consider how best to build a world that is just, where all can live in dignity and peace.” The Holocaust of Europe’s Jews is set to feature prominently alongside other atrocities.

One hopes that Palestinian Arabs will be directed to the site as their leaders have flatly refused to teach about the Holocaust in any manner.

In August 2009 the United Nations said that its would begin to discuss the Holocaust with the hundreds of thousands of children which it educates via UNRWA. The reaction from Palestinian leadership was fast and furious: absolutely not.

Hamas leaders in Gaza said that the Holocaust was “a lie invented by the Zionists.” The group penned a letter to UNRWA stating that they “refuse to let our children study a lie invented by the Zionists.

UNRWA back-tracked but tried again to advance a review of the Holocaust in 2011. The reaction was the same.

Hamas Education Minister Mohammed Asqoul saidplaying with the education of our children in the Gaza Strip is a red line.” Zakaria al-Agha, a member of the PLO’s executive committee said that “teaching the Holocaust to Palestinian students in U.N. schools is unacceptable.” A school teacher at one of the locations added “the agency [UNRWA] will open the gates of hell with this step.

Holocaust education for Palestinians was stymied again.

In 2017, UN Watch covered how UNRWA teachers actively DENY THE HOLOCAUST in public and on social media, including Abed Naser Hassen. It is terrifying to consider what these teachers are teaching in private classrooms, as the next generation of Palestinians is taught to trivialize the slaughter of Jews and glorify Arab “martyrs” who kill Jews.

Even after the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain announced a normalization of relations with Israel in September 2020, Qatar continues to teach its students that there were valid reasons for the Nazis to hate Jews and that the number of Jews killed in the Holocaust has been grossly exaggerated. It is no coincidence that Qatar is Hamas’s biggest sponsor.

The October 2020 UN program is the second part in the series, the first one having been aired in July with a five person panel. The moderator was scheduled to be Maher Nasser, who served as Chief of the New York liaison office for UNRWA. It is perhaps no surprise that he failed to ultimately moderate the discussion, as he likely came under intense pressure from fellow Palestinians to not discuss the Holocaust.

That first webinar ran for one and one-half hours discussing how museums and memorials impact memory and their role in forming a just society today. While it touched upon recent decisions to remove statues of slave traders in Britain and the United States, it did not reflect on the dozens of Palestinian memorials to Arabs who slaughtered Jews.

As the UN prepares to educate people about racism this week, it must finally insist that its own schools educate Palestinian children about the Holocaust and the role Arabs played in the 1930’s and 1940’s which enabled the murder of tens of thousands of Jews. With such action, perhaps the next generation of Palestinians will not elect a leader who wrote his doctoral thesis on Holocaust denial (like Mahmoud Abbas) and establish an enduring peace with their Jewish neighbors.

David Duke, Ilhan Omar and the Three Lenses of Anti-Semitism

Antisemitism comes in a variety of colors and creeds. The most commonly called out in the media is alt-right White supremacists. The mascot for these Jew-haters is David Duke, a leader in the Ku Klux Klan who was a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives from 1989 to 1992. His antisemitism combines race, religion and politics as White, Christian and Conservative into a singular orientation of “White supremacy.”

Antisemitism is found in the other extreme but often viewed in three distinct lenses: Black, Muslim and Leftist. Many notable anti-Semites easily check off one or two of the boxes such as Louis Farrakhan (Black and Muslim), Linda Sarsour (Muslim and Leftist) and Roger Waters (Leftist). These anti-Semites often defy the neat caricature of David Duke on the right but the trifecta can best be painted as Ilhan Omar, a Black Muslim Somali-American who is serving in the U.S. House of Representatives from Minnesota.

The asymmetry of the amalgam on one side (White+Christian+Right) and the dissected anti-Semites on the other (Black/Muslim/Left) creates a number of issues in confronting baseless hatred of groups.

  • Group Hate. There is an easy understanding that not all Blacks or Muslims or Progressives hate Jews. People are evaluated on the basis of their statements and actions, not by the inherent traits of their persons. However, the same cannot be said of the amalgam painted on the right in which many people view White Christian Conservatives as White supremacist racists and anti-Semites unless proven otherwise. The portrayal of the alt-right is that of the establishment patriarchy, of smug White men of privilege who harbor hate. Many people jump to a conclusion that a White Republican is a racist – or as Hillary Clinton said, “a deplorable” – by default. They therefore quickly harbor their own hate for such persons.
  • Undeserved Absolution. The converse is that the Black anti-Semites as well as Muslims, Leftists and women are given a pass as they are considered the persecuted minorities. People seek to either ignore or excuse their Jew-hatred (Blacks kill Jews because of gentrification; Muslims hate Jews because they control Muslim holy land). But ugly racism and antisemitism are noxious from any source and the shields assembled by progressive defenders are undeserved.
  • Smug Self-Righteousness. Knee-jerk reactions to hating White Christians as racists and absolving Blacks, Muslims and Leftists goes beyond stupidity. It actively places a person in the very same camp of racists and anti-Semites that they seek to distance themselves from, by participating in group hatred OF Conservatives and encouraging group hate FROM Progressives. Wrapping the bile in smug self-righteousness only makes these haters more blind and unable to change.

The liberal media fosters these flawed appraoches.

Recently, The New Yorker covered the book “White Too Long,” with an opening:

“In a 2019 nationwide survey, eighty-six per cent of white evangelical Protestants and seventy per cent of both white mainline Protestants and white Catholics said that the “Confederate flag is more a symbol of Southern pride than of racism”; nearly two-thirds of white Christians over all said that killings of African-American men by the police are isolated incidents rather than part of a broader pattern of mistreatment; and more than six in ten white Christians disagreed with the statement that “generations of slavery and discrimination have created conditions that make it difficult for blacks to work their way out of the lower class.”

For the magazine and book, the poll analyzed White Christians. It coupled race with religion and concluded that not reaching the morally appropriate conclusions of the author about the state of upward mobility for Blacks and agreeing that there is systemic racism in police departments marked this group as overwhelmingly racist.

Yet the magazine and most liberal media wrote NOTHING about the ADL polls of 2014 and 2015 that showed that Muslim countries are almost completely antisemitic and that in non-Muslim countries, Muslims are three to five times more likely to be anti-Semites than Christians. The ADL polls questions were also not so vague as those posited in “White Too Long”: the respondents said that Jews have too much power and too much money and only care about their own. These were direct and clear sentiments of Jew-hatred by Muslims, not inferred racism as was done for White Christians. If anything, the media did the very opposite of giving weight to the study, as New York magazine doubted the entirety of the study in an article called “The ADL’s Flawed Anti-Semitism Survey.”

But bashing White Christians in the media is noble. The author of “White Too Long” was featured in NBCNews, The Atlantic, NPR and The Washington Post. CNN covered the book and led that these White Christian racists are all supporters of President Donald Trump. With the amalgam of Whites+Christians+Rightists as racists complete, it is easy to add antisemitism to the mix.

Society has reached a particularly bizarre point where a person’s inherent traits are the marks of being a racist and anti-Semite as well as being incapable of being a racist and anti-Semite.

  • Whites are inherently racist, or at a minimum benefit from a system of racism, while Blacks cannot be racists as they have no power
  • Christians are not taught love but hate, while Muslims have a different set of values which we simply don’t understand
  • Conservatives’ focus on capitalism is cold and ripe for exploitation, while progressives’ orientation towards empathy precludes baseless hatred

Intersectionality has made all Whites and Christians and Conservatives evil both individually and collectively, while it has simultaneously granted perfect absolution to Blacks, Muslims and Progressives.

This modern formulation is pure nonsense but is becoming the lifeblood of the Democratic Party. It has made them blind to the mainstreaming of anti-Semites in their midst while making it impossible to work in a bi-partisan manner on a wide range of issues.

All people must consider others based on their actions and comments, not their race, religion, gender or political party. As such, people should despise Ilhan Omar as much as they hate David Duke because Jew-hatred is not the sole dominion of a single type.

The Jewish State Handles the Muslim Jurassic Jerks

The New York Times’ Maureen Dowd penned a piece called “Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez handles the Jurassic jerks,” which described how the youngest female member of Congress handled being dehumanized by a Republican male member of Congress who called her a “bitch.” Dowd complimented AOC on her performance as standing above the hate and excelling at what she does, “strutting to the rap tune Boss Bitch by Doja Cat, her long hair whipping to the music, with the Capitol in the background. ‘I’m a bitch and a boss, I’m a-shine like gloss.’ She captioned it: ‘Shine on, fight for others, and let the haters stay mad.’” Dowd noted that such approach was the best way to “make Paleolithic men understand that they are history.

At the same time that this liberal was noting how Republican misogyny was a pathway to oblivion, Islamic leaders continued their practice of dehumanizing Jews.

Heshmat Khalifa, a trustee and director of Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW), resigned from his position after posts on his Facebook page were revealed in which he called Jews the “grandchildren of monkeys and pigs.” This is a common refrain among imams around the world.

Official Palestinian Authority TV posts videos of clerics and young girls making the identical slurs repeatedly. Politicians in both Fatah and Hamas continuously dehumanize Jews with this curse. The most antisemitic people in the world cannot fathom Jews having any rights to even live in their Jewish homeland, as they are not even human beings.

“Poet” on Palestinian TV calling for the murder of Jews

But decent people all over the world recognize the incredible contribution of Jews and the Jewish State. Jews account for roughly 20% of Noble prizes even as the make up only 0.2% of the global population. The only Jewish state is a shining example of democracy, innovation and tolerance in the midst of a region that still practices honor killings, executes minors and hangs gays from cranes.

Ayaan Hirsi Ali wrote about her experience growing up as a Muslim listening to vile antisemitic comments in The New York Times in 2013. She wrote about it again in the Wall Street Journal in 2019 after Muslim Congresswoman Ilhan Omar went on an antisemitic tirade. It was clear that Ilhan Omar was no victim but emblematic of the disgusting mindset that festers in radical Muslims.

Many people are calling for women and oppressed minorities to strut their stuff and declare they are the new “boss” while they laugh at misogynistic “Paleolithic menbecoming extinct. It is well past time for people to call upon Jews to stand tall and laugh at Islamic radicals who seek to deny Jews’ basic humanity and human rights to live and pray in their holy land while these Muslim Jurassic Jerks disappear into the dustbin of history.

Hamas Charter, Article 32

Nothing sums up the deep Jew-hatred of members of Hamas as Article 32 of their charter.

“The Attempt to Isolate the Palestinian People:

Article Thirty-Two:

World Zionism, together with imperialistic powers, try through a studied plan and an intelligent strategy to remove one Arab state after another from the circle of struggle against Zionism, in order to have it finally face the Palestinian people only. Egypt was, to a great extent, removed from the circle of the struggle, through the treacherous Camp David Agreement. They are trying to draw other Arab countries into similar agreements and to bring them outside the circle of struggle.

The Islamic Resistance Movement calls on Arab and Islamic nations to take up the line of serious and persevering action to prevent the success of this horrendous plan, to warn the people of the danger eminating from leaving the circle of struggle against Zionism. Today it is Palestine, tomorrow it will be one country or another. The Zionist plan is limitless. After Palestine, the Zionists aspire to expand from the Nile to the Euphrates. When they will have digested the region they overtook, they will aspire to further expansion, and so on. Their plan is embodied in the “Protocols of the Elders of Zion”, and their present conduct is the best proof of what we are saying.

Leaving the circle of struggle with Zionism is high treason, and cursed be he who does that. “for whoso shall turn his back unto them on that day, unless he turneth aside to fight, or retreateth to another party of the faithful, shall draw on himself the indignation of Allah, and his abode shall be hell; an ill journey shall it be thither.” (The Spoils – verse 16). There is no way out except by concentrating all powers and energies to face this Nazi, vicious Tatar invasion. The alternative is loss of one’s country, the dispersion of citizens, the spread of vice on earth and the destruction of religious values. Let every person know that he is responsible before Allah, for “the doer of the slightest good deed is rewarded in like, and the does of the slightest evil deed is also rewarded in like.”

The Islamic Resistance Movement consider itself to be the spearhead of the circle of struggle with world Zionism and a step on the road. The Movement adds its efforts to the efforts of all those who are active in the Palestinian arena. Arab and Islamic Peoples should augment by further steps on their part; Islamic groupings all over the Arab world should also do the same, since all of these are the best-equipped for the future role in the fight with the warmongering Jews.

“..and we have put enmity and hatred between them, until the day of resurrection. So often as they shall kindle a fire of war, Allah shall extinguish it; and they shall set their minds to act corruptly in the earth, but Allah loveth not the corrupt doers.” (The Table – verse 64).”

For Hamas, the “struggle with world Zionism” is a “fight with the warmongering Jews.” The Palestinian antisemites believe wholeheartedly in the forgery the “Protocols of the Elders of Zion” as its charter states that the “Zionist plan is limitless. After Palestine, the Zionists aspire to expand from the Nile to the Euphrates. When they will have digested the region they overtook, they will aspire to further expansion, and so on.” The charter calls the Jews Nazisto cement the insult that they are the same as those who slaughtered them.

And this movement is given succor. International lawyers like Hiba Husseini get onto panels at the United Nations and repeat the Hamas bile that “the Zionist idea to dominate the area from the Nile to the Euphrates was well known.” Former US President Jimmy Carter said Hamas should be given “legitimacy as a political actor, as it “represents a substantial portion of the Palestinian people.” The international community wants Hamas to be part of a unity government.

Hamas represents 58% of the Palestinian parliament and a poll of Palestinians in June 2020 concluded that Hamas would beat Fatah if presidential elections were to be held. It cannot be a coincidence that and ADL poll concluded that the Arabs in the West Bank and Gaza are the most antisemitic on the planet.

For The New York Times, “From the River to the Sea” Is The Chant of Jewish and Christian Zealots

There has rarely been a pro-Palestinian march around the world without the chant “From the River to the Sea, Palestine Will be Free.” It is a chant for the destruction of the only Jewish State.

Pro-Palestinian protest in London

One sees the phrase on placards in Europe. One hears it in the streets of the United States.

It is the official charter of HAMAS, a terrorist organization and an official Palestinian political party, the ruling authority of Gaza.

The destruction of Israel has long been the desire of its neighbors since the state was re-established in 1948, prompting five Arab armies to invade the country to destroy it. Through wars, boycotts and terrorism, the craving has persisted in much of the Muslim world.

Yet the liberal media has decided to ignore the genocidal antisemitic intent of the chant. In Europe, the slogan is considered a pro-Palestinian anthem which has nothing to do with the destruction of Israel. In the United States, The New York Times is loathe to call any actions or comments by the Palestinians or their supporters as antisemitic.

So as Israel considers breaking the impasse in the region in which the Palestinian Authority refuses to negotiate with Israel and Hamas continues to attack Israel, it is remarkable to see The New York Times suddenly address the call “from the river to the sea” as a right-wing ISRAELI message.

On May 20, 2020, the paper published an article about acting-President of the Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas calling to cancel security agreements with Israel because Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called for applying sovereignty to areas of the West Bank which were acknowledged by the PA to be under full-Israeli control in the 1995 Oslo Accords. The article wrote:

“With the peace talks non-existent for years, many right-wing Israelis have urged Mr. Netanyahu to extend sovereignty over the West Bank on ideological and religious grounds, believing the Jewish state should control the entire Holy Land from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean. Evangelical Christians who are key supporters of President Trump have also backed the effort.”

The article failed to mention that the Israeli government gave much of the “West Bank” to the Palestinians in 1995 and 1997 despite repeated terrorist attacks. It did not mention that Israel gave Gaza to the Palestinians in 2005. The paper did not refer to the April 14, 2004 letter from US President George W Bush to Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon which stated clearly:

“In light of new realities on the ground, including already existing major Israeli populations centers, it is unrealistic to expect that the outcome of final status negotiations will be a full and complete return to the armistice lines of 1949, and all previous efforts to negotiate a two-state solution have reached the same conclusion. It is realistic to expect that any final status agreement will only be achieved on the basis of mutually agreed changes that reflect these realities.”

Instead, the anti-Zionist paper called the application of sovereignty a move by religious radicals, not people who seek a secure Jewish State and an end to the stalemate.

The New York Times has been an apologist for radical Palestinian antisemitism for years. It has now re-branded the anti-Zionist chant “from the river to the sea” as a Zionist one, and newly cast it as the mantra of Jewish and Christian religious zealots.

Hamas Charter, Articles 11 and 12

The longest section of the Hamas Charter is about “strategies and methods,” which run from Articles Eleven through Twenty-two.

Strategies and Methods

Strategies of the Islamic Resistance Movement: Palestine Is Islamic aqf:

Article Eleven:

The Islamic Resistance Movement believes that the land of Palestine is an Islamic Waqf consecrated for future Moslem generations until Judgement Day. It, or any part of it, should not be squandered: it, or any part of it, should not be given up. Neither a single Arab country nor all Arab countries, neither any king or president, nor all the kings and presidents, neither any organization nor all of them, be they Palestinian or Arab, possess the right to do that. Palestine is an Islamic Waqf land consecrated for Moslem generations until Judgement Day. This being so, who could claim to have the right to represent Moslem generations till Judgement Day?

This is the law governing the land of Palestine in the Islamic Sharia (law) and the same goes for any land the Moslems have conquered by force, because during the times of (Islamic) conquests, the Moslems consecrated these lands to Moslem generations till the Day of Judgement.

It happened like this: When the leaders of the Islamic armies conquered Syria and Iraq, they sent to the Caliph of the Moslems, Umar bin-el-Khatab, asking for his advice concerning the conquered land – whether they should divide it among the soldiers, or leave it for its owners, or what? After consultations and discussions between the Caliph of the Moslems, Omar bin-el-Khatab and companions of the Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him salvation, it was decided that the land should be left with its owners who could benefit by its fruit. As for the real ownership of the land and the land itself, it should be consecrated for Moslem generations till Judgement Day. Those who are on the land, are there only to benefit from its fruit. This Waqf remains as long as earth and heaven remain. Any procedure in contradiction to Islamic Sharia, where Palestine is concerned, is null and void.

“Verily, this is a certain truth. Wherefore praise the name of thy Lord, the great Allah.” (The Inevitable – verse 95).

Homeland and Nationalism from the Point of View of the Islamic Resistance Movement in Palestine:

Article Twelve:

Nationalism, from the point of view of the Islamic Resistance Movement, is part of the religious creed. Nothing in nationalism is more significant or deeper than in the case when an enemy should tread Moslem land. Resisting and quelling the enemy become the individual duty of every Moslem, male or female. A woman can go out to fight the enemy without her husband’s permission, and so does the slave: without his master’s permission.

Nothing of the sort is to be found in any other regime. This is an undisputed fact. If other nationalist movements are connected with materialistic, human or regional causes, nationalism of the Islamic Resistance Movement has all these elements as well as the more important elements that give it soul and life. It is connected to the source of spirit and the granter of life, hoisting in the sky of the homeland the heavenly banner that joins earth and heaven with a strong bond.

If Moses comes and throws his staff, both witch and magic are annulled.

“Now is the right direction manifestly distinguished from deceit: whoever therefore shall deny Tagut, and believe in Allah, he shall surely take hold with a strong handle, which shall not be broken; Allah is he who heareth and seeth.” (The Cow – Verse 256).

New principles are introduced in this section of the charter, the first of which states that the land of Palestine is an “Islamic Waqf.” Such designation makes the land consecrated for the benefit of all Muslims for all time. It therefore becomes impossible for any Muslim – whether state or individual – to give up a square inch of it to any non-Muslim.

As an Islamic holy land, Hamas wants Palestine to be ruled by Islamic Sharia law. This is not the practice of many other Muslim-majority countries which pull their inspiration from Islamic law. It is a defining feature between secular and religious Islamic nations and Hamas clearly has opted for the latter.

The Islamic Waqf Council offering a ruling on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem / the Al Aqsa Compound [Muammar Awad/Reuters]

Hamas’ viewpoints are not simply extreme but immovable in regards to both land and law. In regards to land, it states unambiguously that “any part of it, should not be squandered: it, or any part of it, should not be given up.” Regarding the law of the land, the charter states “any procedure in contradiction to Islamic Sharia, where Palestine is concerned, is null and void.”

The charter then attempts to bind all of these religious concepts together with “nationalism” in Article 12. This is not a simple task as up to this point the charter is a broad call for every Muslim in the world to undertake the liberation of Palestine and all “Moslem lands” which they all should consider holy. There is nothing particularly unique about Palestine any more than Syria, Iraq or Kuwait until this idea is introduced, seemingly from out of the blue.

And it is therefore no surprise that Hamas cannot really breach the notion of a Palestinian people even when it talks about nationalism. For Hamas, nationalism is a “religious creed.” To the extent that this “nationalism has borders, it is only around Islam and Muslims. The “enemy” is defined as all non-Muslims who “tread [on] Moslem land” and the obligation to fight them is the “duty of every Moslem, male or female.”

Indeed, when the charter states that “nothing of the sort is to be found in any other regime,” it is true in a very sinister way. Other political movements create a framework for their citizens. But Hamas has no interest in being “connected with materialistic, human or regional causes.” It is simply an extremist religious organization whose mission is a jihad to rid Islamic holy lands of non-Muslims.

Among all political parties in the world, Hamas is uniquely constructed as an extremist jihadist group whose sole mission is about expunging non-Muslims, rather than about building a society.

And the Palestinian Arabs elected Hamas to 58% of the parliament with this charter, the United Nations pushes for Hamas to be part of a unity government, and the media talks of “Islamic resistance” as a peaceful and natural endeavor.

Hamas Charter, Articles 9 and 10

The Hamas Charter‘s second section is about “objectives,” captured in Articles Nine and Ten.

Objectives

Incentives and Objectives:

Article Nine:

The Islamic Resistance Movement found itself at a time when Islam has disappeared from life. Thus rules shook, concepts were upset, values changed and evil people took control, oppression and darkness prevailed, cowards became like tigers: homelands were usurped, people were scattered and were caused to wander all over the world, the state of justice disappeared and the state of falsehood replaced it. Nothing remained in its right place. Thus, when Islam is absent from the arena, everything changes. From this state of affairs the incentives are drawn.

As for the objectives: They are the fighting against the false, defeating it and vanquishing it so that justice could prevail, homelands be retrieved and from its mosques would the voice of the mu’azen emerge declaring the establishment of the state of Islam, so that people and things would return each to their right places and Allah is our helper.

“…and if Allah had not prevented men, the one by the other, verily the earth had been corrupted: but Allah is beneficient towards his creatures.” (The Cow – verse 251).

Article Ten:

As the Islamic Resistance Movement paves its way, it will back the oppressed and support the wronged with all its might. It will spare no effort to bring about justice and defeat injustice, in word and deed, in this place and everywhere it can reach and have influence therein.

The defeat of the Ottoman Empire at the end of World War I is the beginning of the end for the Islamic Resistance Movement, when “Islam disappeared from life.” The foreign forces, whether French, British or Zionists are considered “evil,” and caused people to scatter. It is specifically the absence of Islam that is the core of the problem.

The goal of HAMAS is to vanquish the non-Muslims and declare the “establishment of the state of Islam.” Only with complete Islamic control of the region can there be peace and justice. It is the local variant of ISIS.

And the Palestinian Arabs elected Hamas to 58% of the parliament with this charter, the United Nations pushes for Hamas to be part of a unity government, and the media talks of “Islamic resistance” as a peaceful and natural endeavor.

Hamas Charter, Articles 7 and 8

The Hamas Charter concludes the “definition” section with Articles Seven and Eight which not only point to the universality of its mission, but a call for all Muslims to join their fight against the Jews.

The Universality of the Islamic Resistance Movement:

Article Seven:

As a result of the fact that those Moslems who adhere to the ways of the Islamic Resistance Movement spread all over the world, rally support for it and its stands, strive towards enhancing its struggle, the Movement is a universal one. It is well-equipped for that because of the clarity of its ideology, the nobility of its aim and the loftiness of its objectives.

On this basis, the Movement should be viewed and evaluated, and its role be recognised. He who denies its right, evades supporting it and turns a blind eye to facts, whether intentionally or unintentionally, would awaken to see that events have overtaken him and with no logic to justify his attitude. One should certainly learn from past examples.

The injustice of next-of-kin is harder to bear than the smite of the Indian sword.

“We have also sent down unto thee the book of the Koran with truth, confirming that scripture which was revealed before it; and preserving the same safe from corruption. Judge therefore between them according to that which Allah hath revealed; and follow not their desires, by swerving from the truth which hath come unto thee. Unto every of you have we given a law, and an open path; and if Allah had pleased, he had surely made you one people; but he hath thought it fit to give you different laws, that he might try you in that which he hath given you respectively. Therefore strive to excel each other in good works; unto Allah shall ye all return, and then will he declare unto you that concerning which ye have disagreed.” (The Table, verse 48).

The Islamic Resistance Movement is one of the links in the chain of the struggle against the Zionist invaders. It goes back to 1939, to the emergence of the martyr Izz al-Din al Kissam and his brethren the fighters, members of Moslem Brotherhood. It goes on to reach out and become one with another chain that includes the struggle of the Palestinians and Moslem Brotherhood in the 1948 war and the Jihad operations of the Moslem Brotherhood in 1968 and after.

Moreover, if the links have been distant from each other and if obstacles, placed by those who are the lackeys of Zionism in the way of the fighters obstructed the continuation of the struggle, the Islamic Resistance Movement aspires to the realisation of Allah’s promise, no matter how long that should take. The Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him salvation, has said:

“The Day of Judgement will not come about until Moslems fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Moslems, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him. Only the Gharkad tree, (evidently a certain kind of tree) would not do that because it is one of the trees of the Jews.” (related by al-Bukhari and Moslem).

The Slogan of the Islamic Resistance Movement:

Article Eight:

Allah is its target, the Prophet is its model, the Koran its constitution: Jihad is its path and death for the sake of Allah is the loftiest of its wishes.

Hamas makes clear throughout the opening section of the charter that it opposes Jews having control of Muslim lands and people and for being “unclean” and “vile” people. In Article Seven, it introduces the notion that these Jews are foreign “Zionist invaders.” Specifically, these Jews have invaded all of Palestine, as the struggle goes back before the 1967 War (so it is not about the “West Bank” and Gaza) and predates the 1948-9 War (meaning it doesn’t even have to do with Jewish sovereignty.) The “struggle” goes back to before 1939, meaning it is about the basic presence of Jews.

The charter mentions Izz al-Din al Kissam (also spelled Izz ad-din al-Qassam), who fought various “invading” forces to the Middle East including the French in Syria (where al-Qassam was born), and the British and Zionists in Palestine. He became a popular figure in Palestinian circles for killing Jewish civilian who accumulating land in Palestine from Arabs. Many of the farms were owned by foreigners (like Arabs in Egypt) and the local Palestinian Arabs worked the land. The incoming Jews not only purchased the land, but took over the work of farming the lands, leaving the Arabs both without income and place to live. Some scholars attribute al-Qassam’s death at the hands of British forces as the launch for the 1936-9 multi-year Arab revolt to stop Jewish immigration. The al-Qassam military wing of Hamas is named after him.

Izz ad-din al-Qassam (1882-1935), fighter against French rule in Syria and British and Zionists in Palestine

The charter goes on to call out against “lackeys of Zionism,” those Muslims who protect the Jews. It cites a classic verse describing how Muslims must kill Jews, and those Muslims who shield the Jews from death are effectively co-conspirators against Allah who will pay at the Day of Judgement.

Article Eight underscores that the path of Allah is jihad to the death.

The definition of the Hamas movement is a religious war against the “vileness” of the Jews, “invaders” who took over Muslim lands and people. This is a war beyond time and place which must be fought to the death.

And the Palestinian Arabs elected Hamas to 58% of the parliament with this charter, the United Nations pushes for Hamas to be part of a unity government, and the media talks of “Islamic resistance” as a peaceful and natural endeavor.

Hamas Charter, Articles 3 and 4

The Hamas Charter‘s first two articles articulate the movement as the embodiment of Islam. It then continues in a more sinister vein:

Structure and Formation

Article Three:

The basic structure of the Islamic Resistance Movement consists of Moslems who have given their allegiance to Allah whom they truly worship, – “I have created the jinn and humans only for the purpose of worshipping” – who know their duty towards themselves, their families and country. In all that, they fear Allah and raise the banner of Jihad in the face of the oppressors, so that they would rid the land and the people of their uncleanliness, vileness and evils.

“But we will oppose truth to vanity, and it shall confound the same; and behold, it shall vanish away.” (Prophets – verse 18).

Article Four:

The Islamic Resistance Movement welcomes every Moslem who embraces its faith, ideology, follows its programme, keeps its secrets, and wants to belong to its ranks and carry out the duty. Allah will certainly reward such one.

Hamas is not only a religious movement based on the principals of Islam, it is only open to Muslims. It opposes any coexistence, as it seeks “to raise the banner of Jihad… [to] rid the land of the [non-Muslim] uncleanliness, vileness and evils.”

And the Palestinian Arabs elected Hamas to 58% of the parliament with this charter, the United Nations pushes for Hamas to be part of a unity government, and the media talks of “Islamic resistance” as a peaceful and natural endeavor.
